Took a while to understand how to maneuver effectively, but after that it's really interesting and led to some really cool gameplay moments. Loved the artstyle as well, beautiful aesthetics. Great stuff man!

Excellent presentation, audio visually pleasing experience. The gameplay is fun as well. Takes some time to learn to maneuver in space.

I didn't play for too long but I can imagine how this could be with further developed with more upgrade options, enemies, planets, so forth.

Well done!

A great experience! The audio and visuals are great. Well done! 🔥

The only thing was that I couldn't quite orbit around the planet, but maybe I didn't quite understand something!

Cool stuff, the shop a little buggy

Liked teleporting to other side of a screen

Love the aesthetics. The overall presentation of the game feels really polished too. I was only able to smoothly transition from one orbit to another once, probably because I just didn't understand how orbiting works. However, when you do, it feels amazing. Since I didn't get too far, I can only really comment on the tutorial. The only issue I noticed being that you can progress the dialogue accidentally without actually doing the action the tutorial is referencing. This left me lost and I had to restart the tutorial. Anyways, if I could control the ship better, I can see this being really enjoyable to play.

Thank you!

The tutorial issue is a known issue, unfortunately we caught it only in the last hour of submission so we ran out of time to fix it. Thank you for your kind comments and raising bugs, really appreciated!

Fun idea! Really well thought out game in the sense of the how the ship maneuvers and the game progression. Good job! Also, I bugged out in the tutorial,  around the time of introducing the shop. I'm not sure if it's because I'm silly but .. yeah! Thought you'd know.

Cool game. It took it me a bit to get the hang of it, but it's very well designed. Particularly, the movement is engaging & I would like to see some kind of adventure game that adopts it. Congrats on creating this in such short time 🤝

Wow! fit a lot of systems and polish into 96 hours. Loved everything from how the main menu shifts with your cursor to all the ways your able control your movement. Excellent entry!

Interesting and thought game, hardmode is kinda rough with you but overall a woderful. Love tge artstyle you went with, gj :D

Super difficult (for me), but a gorgeous game. I really like how you really have to focus to properly position yourself to even be able to defend planets. Great entry with gorgeous animations! :)

Good art, concept and execution, even tho gravity doesn't seem as strong as it should be but fun game !

love the art!! So beautiful and it’s fun to play.

the art is soooo goood, good job!!!

The art and itch page are great! Love the audio, too! I couldn't get the hang of the controls so actually playing felt a little frustrating, even after following the tutorial, but I think that's 100% a me problem.

Very very cool

The art is amazing:D

Great Game with great music and artwork just the controls are hard to get the handle on and the screen when it wrap around it disorienting for me

Wow, such rich art in general, really awesome music, graphics, particles, and sfx, oh those explosion sfx sure are satisfying! But also found myself a little off sometimes by having to control the ship only by gravity and shooting at the same time, sure is a little hard controlling this ship to where I wanted 😅, also I found that getting enough money to buy an upgrade took too long! But really absolute blast of a game in general!

Developer

Just like you, we had a problem with almost losing the project that wasted a bunch of time, so we weren't able to properly playtest! My biggest regret is just not making the upgrades waaaay cheaper, I feel like there's so much potential here if it wasn't so difficult to get points. It's definitely difficult to control! I'm not sure what I can do to make it easier, orbital mechanics are hard to handle by their very nature, but thank you for having fun with it regardless!

Oh, sad to hear that you passed a similar problem, it is soo frustrating thinking of what the project would be if we didn't lose that precious time 😣, even tho ~60% of my comment was saying about what I dislike I for sure gave your game an excellent rating! Everything else was really well done, it even had an full blown tutorial! A lot of stuff for this small time window was done for sure with huge quality too! Congrats 😉

Fun game, really cool mechanics, getting to the upgrades is a fun if a bit too challenging. The projectiles are a bit unforgiving to hit (skill issue lol)

Developer

not a skill issue! 1) we definitely tuned the points you need for upgrades waaaaaay too high (like orders of magnitudes too high) because we ran out of time to playtest, and 2) i made the asteroid hitboxes smaller because i thought "oh, i want these to be lenient so the player doesn't bump into them", not realising that they should have a separate hurtbox for projectiles! thanks for playing :)

Interesting game idea I like it.

I like the sparkly Starfield in the background.

The controls are a bit fiddly, but with some tweaks this really has potential.  (I feel like it should be a little easier to get into a stable orbit. The planets don't really pull you that much towards them)

Developer

Thank you! We were really happy with the sparkling stars, because we didn't actually use any animations! It's a static, scrolling image, and I guess because of how Godot handles really small images, they end up sparkling!

There is a "stabilise orbit" button (R), but it doesn't work 100% of the time. If you're like 80% of the way to a stable orbit it'll do the rest of the 20%, but I agree that the planets lose influence a little more quickly than I'd like. After ratings I'd probably want to add more planets (maybe 4 or 5) and make the play area a little denser, so that you're closer to a planet at any given point. Thanks for playing!
