Wow great entry for a first try, nice to see a cat themed game :-) I sometimes have the issue that when I go to sleep and wake up, I can no longer move because the cat stays in this loaf-y sitting position. I cat turn around, but not jump nor move.
I think the solution to your problem is to press Z to get out of sleep mode.
Nice work! The visuals are cute and the game is very chill. Only think I think of that would be nice have is a little visual feedback on the cat for charging the jump.

YAY! A cat game! Soundtrack is great! The concept is excellent. However, I find the space bar jump is a bit hard to control! It needs to hold down before making directions. I had to waste some energy before figuring this out. Also it is about a cat looking for things, so may be some stakes for the cat would be goos.

Very cute kittie game! For your first solo game this feels great, when I made my first solo game it was so terrible, great work! It needs a bit of work on the buttons and colliders, maybe a bit of an indication that you are pressing space and the intensity of the cat jumps, also a bit more of difficulty could make the game a bit more interesting
