Very hard, didn't manage to go far. Took me about 4 tries to figure that my hitbox is in the head, before that I thought the game wasn't possible at all. Some feedback when being damaged would be great (e.g. SFX and blinking snake's head during the i-frames)

Also, the controls were inverted from what I expected, so that also felt weird.

Anyway, congrats on making it through the jam!

Very fun game with nice visuals!

I think you could add some more enemy types and power ups (e.g. the classic apple) to spice it up but pulling of combos was already really satisfying.

Impressive work for your first game! :D

Great game man! such a cool take on the Ouroboros concept

your movement is so smooth! and i love the art, its all super cute.
the combo system is also nice and satisying.

I have some minor complains, it could use some music even if its placeholder.
and closing the menu with escape is a little annoying in the web version cause it puts you out of the game.
also i would recommend removing the fullscreen button that the itch pages gives as an option because the build in one from unity is better and they overlap.

With a bit more juice and maybe some more mechanics this could be a really good game, nicely done for a first jam attempt.

Hey, cool game. The segments follow each other so smoothly, and the combos are fun to get! Congrats!

With a bit more polish this could be really fun! Nice job! Although, the controls feels inverted to me :)

Developer

Thank you!

Yeah, these types of controls are hard to get right.

Well done finishing something! The art is definitely this game's strongest suit.

I found the controls a bit weird at first because my own submission also uses left/right keys to turn, but they're the other way around lol

Developer

thanks! :D
yeah, maybe for my next games, i might try to avoid angle based movement with the A and D keys lol
