How does your game fit the theme?
The game takes place on the chaotic set of a classic Wild West film. You play the lead actor who has only skimmed the script and must improvise your way through each take. Every wrong choice sends you right back to the start of the scene, creating a loop until you can perform the correct sequence of actions. Last‑minute script changes from the director can suddenly alter the loop, forcing you to adapt.

(Optional) Please credit all assets you've used
All credits can be found on our Itch.io page! We used a variety of art assets from the asset store for the different scenes but the studio itself was created by us.

(Optional) What would you like to be called if GMTK features your game?
Group of second year Game Design Students from Germany

Really enjoyed this, studio setting was great and I like everyones reactions when you get things wrong, especially the camera guy. Saw a few dinos but didn't realise I was supposed to be clicking on them. Otherwise a lack of any audio is about the only thing holding this back.

Developer

Haha, yeah, we put the Dinos in as a last minute easter egg so we didn't incorporate them properly but we thought it's still a fun addition. Totally agree on the audio thing. We tried getting some voice acting going but after putting in like 4-5 audio files we realized that we would never be able to finish all the scenes in time. Thanks a lot for playing!

To be honest I wasn't even thinking voice acting, I was fine reading the dialogue. More that I'm spending ~30mins in this completely silent studio and you could get a few bars of generic western music in there (as if it's the movie soundtrack) along with a few ambiences and diegetic sounds, i.e campfire and train ambiences, some footsteps, gunshot and dynamite one shots.

Developer

Ah, I see. We started doing that a bit as well at the end (gun shot, studio ambience sound, whistle etc) but we probably stopped at like 5% of what is possible with generic sounds due to time limits as well. I also really like the idea of adding western music! Think I will do that actually and upload an updated version at some point ^^

missed only one dino :)

Thanks a lot for playing through the whole game! Congrats on the dinos. There is at least one hidden in one of the wrong choices so getting all def takes a bit of time :)
