How does your game fit the theme?
We incorporated the theme 'loop' in our game through the primary gameplay mechanics and narrative. The player plays through a looping duel between two spy factions, continually switching sides to see how long they can go on for.

Verry cool concept. I really liked the opening motion comic cutscene. The game itself is pretty easy to understand and play, and is fun.  I particularly like how the theme is layered into your mechanic and both serve as part of the narrative of your game. There is no greater objective, no score, just a target to kill, and when you do, you become the target for the next person, I love it.

My feedback would be that it is a bit on the easy side, and that maybe in a post jam version you could add some more challenge. Like maybe its not just portraits but little details on the portraits  that need to be the same like in Papers Please. Also maybe your target can spot you if you get too close. idk just some thoughts.

I really liked this.

Love this moody little game. It incidentally delivers hard on the cycle of violence theme! Well done!

I love the aesthetic and adore the concept. I wish the "last seen here" had more impact on the game and that using the map was a bit more required. This game of Where's Waldo was a blast though!

Really cool concept I love the comic book artstyle and the simple color palette. I would totally play a more fleshed out version of this game. solid entry!

Loved the vibe and aesthetics. The 2D and 3D elements are both beautifully executed. This could be great as an online multiplayer game of spy vs spy! Thanks for sharing on stream!

Gosh absolutely loveee the art and detective feel of this game! The gameplay loop felt a bit repetitive but still very very clever and enjoyable. The music, 3d model, and feel of the play is spot on! Though would love a bit more narrative. Still, great work and keep it up!

Really interesting execution of the theme and loop of gameplay.

Thank you so much! It was fun to make, and I'm happy that you enjoyed it.

Love the detective feeling 100%. The map felt a lil' bit big sometimes but was a good time going around findin' spies!

Developer

I'm glad you liked the game! And I'm happy that the detective vibes carried over well.

I agree on the map tbh. And that was after we shrunk it! I think that the size would work better if we were able to implement some of the extra mechanics we wanted to but alas, game jams have a tendency to make plans go awry. Nevertheless thank you for playing and for the kind words!

I'm too good at this game so I don't know what happens when you lose. Unless that was me losing the whooole time. Really great art and music. All I'd want is a bit more of a challenge ramp up, but this here is just a fun mechanic as is! Thanks for sharing :D

the artwork and sound design is so good! really love the intro classic spy vibes, but i wish it was skippable for when you lose. very simple and elegant gameplay loop that is fun to play! mechanically, i wish i didnt have to hold right click and left click at the same time. again, really impressive art and vibes tho :)

Love the concept and artwork, what exactly are conditions for overtime? Just being seen? Felt a bit weird since I got targets couple of times that just would not leave crowded places (or maybe I got inpatient)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words!
Overtime has two conditions: When the timer on the top right of the screen runs out, and when you accidentally take out an innocent / non-spy person. It's possible in some cases to think you have the right person but one small detail is off and killing them starts overtime, which may have caused confusion. Apologies if so!
Thanks again for playing and the feedback.

Pretty cool 3d graphics and artwork

Thank you! We both had a really good time working on the game, so I'm glad you liked it!

I really liked the style of the game, in such a short period of time we got an excellent concept that can be perfectly improved with new content, since now it is a bit monotonous, but this does not interfere with the game at this stage

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!
We had so many ideas for how to expand on the loop we unfortunately just couldn't add in time for the jam. Like recursive consequences for being caught. (I.E. if you're seen while taking out the target as one spy, police get called and you have to avoid them as the next spy, etc.)
It's definitely something we want to expand upon at some point.

I appreciate the feedback and the kind words!

Oh this is excellent! I really enjoyed the visual style and the vibe. I liked how quickly things escalated and thought the hovering over to see the dossiers was integrated very well. A clever gameplay loop with a lot of polish.

(Just as an fyi, there's a typo in your game's subtitle - it should be "feuds are forever")

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! This was a fun game to make and I'm glad that you have fun playing it.

(Thank you for mentioning the typo as well, fixed!)
