Nice game! I love how the game difficulty automatically adjusts through gameplay just through you having more shadows running around.
Thank you so much for playing our game!!!
Very entertaining. I like the dark atmosphere—it adds an extra touch of enjoyable challenge. The pixel art is really nice.
Thank you so much! We enjoyed playing with the atmosphere and allowing your former selves to light the way.
I loved the idea, it can be executed better for the future.
It felt unfairly difficult. Not only because our vision is limited, but sometimes there are red shadows, it becomes hard to track the protagonist. The controls didn't feel responsive, this becomes a problem while avoiding enemies and traps.
One confusing part is the protagonist speaks while the game has already started, rather than the game pause. By the time we read the messages, we have already created shadows.
Keep up the good work!
You make some good points.
- I have no idea why the shadows are sometimes red, that is a bug I didn’t figure out in time!
- I need to update the description of the controls. They’re Pacman style controls, so you’re supposed to queue them up instead of trying pixel perfect turns! I totally forgot to explain that though, so I’ll change that.
- Fair point about the talking! That was another thing we wanted to change but time got the best of us.
Thank you for playing!
The movements are slick and the gameplay loop is so satisfiying ! Nice pixelart too, by the way !
You’re so kind! It was fun to make! Thank you for playing!
Enjoyable experience. Wish there was a counter or something similar at the end of the game showing how many times you died to incentivise surviving and so that people could compare high scores. But good game!
That is an honestly brilliant idea! My last game jam game was too hard, so I let off on punishing deaths. Having a death counter at the end is a great way to reward players who survived better!
Excellent work. I like the way you incorporated Pac-Man gameplay with the "loop" theme. Great artwork and music, too.
Thank you so much! That means a lot!
Great concept, if there was overall light available then it will be good to find path but then the shadow part came really good way to do this btw artwork is amazing
Thank you so much! It was fun to mess with the lighting and shadows. We’re new to pixel art, so thank you!!
I really like to cooperate (or stumble upon) my previous self!
We’re glad you liked it! Thank you :)
All Around Good Game!
Thank you!
I really liked your game. The idea is good and the realization is better. I had lots of fun playing it and exploring your world.
Thank you for giving our little medieval world a bit of your time! That means so much to us!
Cool idea, I like the use of a somewhat similiar idea like mine to the theme in a pacman styled game
Love it! It’s so cool to see other developers with similar ideas!
Quite a fun and creative concept. It's a Pac-Man-style game where new characters join each time you die. It was fun exploring with a growing crowd, though I did get lost not knowing which paths I hadn’t taken yet, haha.
Thank you! I’m sure we had plenty of refinement still to do, but getting lost in our own army of shadows was kinda fun too :)
Love the animation in the beginning of the game! Great concept too!
Thank you very much!!! We appreciate you
Cool game design and mechanics ! I made it to the end and it was fun ! well done
Thank you!!! Congratulations on making it through the levels!!!
Nice Pacman interpretation with the shadow clone helping you in a nice loop :)
Thank you very much for playing!!!
I love the spins on classic games :).
Was confused at first by the lack of light, but quickly understood the gameplay loop and how it supports that design decision. And the whole mechanics lean more into puzzle then "arcadey" feeling.
Really fun play :)
Thank you for giving our game a chance!!! Appreciate it
It was a fun game to play. My main complaint is that sometimes dying felt incentivized and like it lacked punishment. Besides that, I had a good time. Good work!
Thank you for playing!!! Your input is valued!!!
Fun game, i found it pretty hard haha. Love the artstyle and vibe.
Thank you for giving our game a chance!!!
What an inspired take on game mechanics! I was enamored the moment I realized what I was playing!
I love the characters interjections too, lovely use of "For those who come after"!
Thank you for playing!!! We were hoping at least one player would recognize that line!
Very addictive! Hahaha love to see the clones walking around as the previous walk path. Very straightforward easy to follow nice! Love the pixel art as well 😍
Awww thank you so much!! We appreciate it
