This was really fun and had a lot more levels than I expected from a jam game! I think that making the larger asteroids destroy the player's satellite instantly was a bit harsh, though. It makes the random asteroids feel like a bigger threat than the enemies themselves and I often had to restart after getting hit by one while looking for the last enemy. The enemies also hit the asteroids almost as much as I did and would sometimes explode before I saw them.

We're glad you enjoyed our game and thank you for the feedback!

I believe the reason the enemies exploded before you saw them was because we made it so that the enemies were not damaged by the large asteroids but the smaller asteroid debris would damage them. It might be the case that you shot some bullets that blew up some asteroids and an enemy satellite passed through that "debris cloud" and was quickly destroyed.

I suppose an instant game over from hitting an asteroid is a bit harsh (perhaps it should instead do a lot of damage but not insta-kill). Again, thanks for your feedback :)

I think the orbit mechanic could have been improved, as interesting it is. Still cool.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Do you have any specific ideas on how we can improve the movement/orbiting?

Submitted(+1)

My idea, I would have stuck the satellite in an orbit, and it could move vertically only jumping from one orbit to another. I think it would have been a little more challenging.

Developer(+1)

I suppose that could be an interesting change. We'll keep that in mind.

Again, thank you for your feedback! :)

The orbiting mechanic was super cool! The music didn't really fit the game very well in my opinion though.
