Thank you so much for playing our game. Thank you for pointing this out. We had troubles with this, and by the end of the jam, we resorted to manually sorting layer order to just make it work. I have found this to be a shortcoming, but now we have become aware of it and are working on this front for its future iterations. We really appreciate your feedback :)

We have learnt a lot from this experience, a much-needed one indeed, moving forward to other game jams in the future. We really thought about the larger narrative, indeed, but this turned out to be a major overscope for the two of us in a game jam scenario. We are planning to further its development to our vision once the voting window ends.  We really appreciate your feedback :)
