How does your game fit the theme?
As a merchant you travel "around" the world stuck in the constant buy-sell "loop"

So very addictive ! I would be curious to see the game more developed ! I think has a good potential GG !
I enjoyed my playthrough but it felt a bit of a slog sometimes. I wish the character on the map would move faster. The start is rather hard because you must discover every town though, maybe making them a bit more distinct visually and obvious in their looks related to what they sell would help. I like the small map looping allowing one to learn precisely where to buy and sell everything, I think this has a good potential to be short and sweet.
Well, good luck with developing it! It has the potential to be really fun. It's kinda weird, this jam, all the games have been really cool, but a lot of them, mine included seem to not totally benefit from the loop. IMO your game would be better with and FTL style map and even perhaps a map that closes off making you travel to a new "sector" or region. Quests and events would really really make for a cool game! Perhaps also some mechanic, like haggling/trading would be really cool too.
This game is beautiful! I love the look of everything, and the story is quite endearing! Nice job!
Fun game! You need a few runs to really get a feel for what to buy, keep, and sell but you get better over time, even if I still haven’t managed to be worthy of the King 😄. Cool concept!
Great take on the theme, I love that idea! ¦3
As others mentioned, it would be cool for the trader to do accounting for how much he spent on goods.
The art is great, with only some UI elements appearing too small (like the price tags that are barely larger than a couple of pixels of the item image).
Well done!
Cool game! I found it a bit tough to get started (I bought a fishing rod and couldn’t find a place to sell it for a profit) and I would have liked a more cohesive font, but overall a really well rounded entry! Well done!
A very fun submission to the jam! I hope the game can help me record how much money I used to purchase the items, so I won't lose money due to bad memory. Overall very enjoyable and I actually spent a lot of time playing it!
Thanks for playing our game!
That's been bothering us too, but there wasn't time to find a fix - items in a single stack can come from different vendors, bought at a different price. But now that you've mentioned it, I think, there's a simple solution. We can just display a weighted average price for which you bought the items, probably available on hovering the item. Thanks for the feedback :D
Cool idea, but it's a bit easy to soft lock yourself if an intended market can't afford the item you intend to sell to it. More indication of which markets desire or sell which goods would also be useful.
If I understand correctly, I'm supposed to buy an item at one place and then sell it higher at another, but I wasn't able to figure out the rules for how prices were determined from area to area. After a couple of loops, my poor guy got starved out in a rainstorm and wandered into the hills for a life of bachelorhood.
Grats on your submission!
