How does your game fit the theme?
[PLEASE NOTE: Accidentally broke the core loop with a submission just before the deadline. I’ll be posting a fixed build immediately after the jam.] The game has you joining a band and playing gigs every night. Every gig is turn-based and has you battling for the audience’s attention. Each turn, you can deal a set amount of damage by “Playing it straight” or “Riff a Little”, which rolls a dice that can deal additional damage to the audience. At the end of each gig, you can choose to watch the other bands perform or head to the van early for some rest.

Bummer that the last build was a broken version. Thanks for the transparency about what happened. I applaud your ambition of making a game in only 4 hours!

Already great in 4 days! I see potential in this game.

I reallllly like the concept. A battle between the band and the audience?? So cool. I wish there were some good audio to accompany it. The text battler was interesting but I wish there were more art to pull in the band vibes.

The concept genuinely spoke to me as a musician. Yet the colder the crowd became, the more I lost myself in chaotic improvisation. In the end, exasperated, I walked off and headed straight to my van.
Sad you couln't finish. And for a game about a band, audio should have been a priority !
