Cool art. I like the music too.
Nice concept. But it kinda felt like I was just running from room I've seen a hundered times to another room I've seen a hundered times. I didn't really get a sense of accomplishing anything and the platforming in and of itself isn't strong enough to carry it. The coyote time is also really low.
Order's up Demon Lord! I know you hungry, why don't you snack on all the skulls and feet we have in the castle instead of ordering out! C'mon Demon Lord!
Cool game! I think the platforming was a little slow and could've been more forgiving, especially because you are going through the same levels things being faster could be cool. It also got repetitive kinda fast, some more variety between the levels besides the door positions would've been awesome. I think a goal would've helped as well, because collecting the body parts felt pointless at a point. awesome art and cool concept!
Astonishing art style and is lore is also delightful. The character flipping animation could be faster or just no animation but I think that's just my personal preference and it can work for others. The audio is cool but the sfx when taking "ingredients" is probably a bit too loud and no way in game to adjust either. However as for the gameplay I do have a few things to point out. The control can greatly improve with some coyote time, I fell from the edge too many times and it becomes slightly frustrating when the flow is broke. The simplest way might just just make the collision shape wider or a more sophisticated timer system. The last thing is that the game lacks an objective. Yes our poor chef needs to run for his life, but the current game loop isn't very "rewarding" that keeps the player invested for more. Maybe give every room a name or a very distinguishable feature like a different colour theme? It helps player map out the level configuration in their mind and makes them wanting to explore more unvisited doors. And I know I am asking a lot for a game made for game jam but just in case you plan to release an update. Good work overall and well done.
How much do I need to collect?
I feel there wasn’t any coyote time.
Please make the collection sound quieter or at least a mute button.
it's basically endless loop...the coyote time was set to very low....we'll do the mute button shortly..thank you for the feedback
I love the character, they are so cute. I really like the visuals overall.
Unfortunately I got locked in a room and couldn't get further in the game
can you kindly show us the room you got stuck in?
Felt a bit unclear what my actual objective was and lost, but maybe thats the idea? :D Could use some indicator if I am making progress, because I gave up after a while of visiting the same locations constantly.
that's the loop portion!
It was a rush job..thank you for your feedback.. Much appreciated
