How does your game fit the theme?
It fits the theme in 3 core ways. On the micro-level, the player must rewind the level and replay it thus creating a loop in order for them to level up. It's is a rougelike where each failure will require the game to be played again. The narrative ties into this, as an AI undergoing training in the Panopticon prison until they are ready to be booted in the real world.

(Optional) Please credit all assets you've used
See description for full credits. We used a couple of VFX from flipbook VFX on unreal marketplace, some sounds are from splice and some textures from textures.com. There is also an async loading plugin for loading screens from unreal marketplace but it is not currently functional.

Really well-polished and the level design has a lot of thought put into it. Never thought about a roguelite with a time limit for meta-progression, really unique spin on the genre.

Thanks SLIVAL, flock and load was awesome! We really tried to find a unique concept for a rougelite for our submission, super happy with the result and we're looking at how we can expand it into a full release.

I absolutely love the aesthetic of this game's art style! The lighting, colors, and textures work very well together. I also appreciated how smooth the gameplay felt. It was very fun to whiz around the level and strafe around enemies. I could see myself playing this over and over for a long time without getting bored.

As others have mentioned, I also felt the insta-kill projectiles were a bit too punishing, especially since I didn't encounter any checkpoints. Implementing a rewind function is very creative, but I wish you didn't restart at the beginning of the level every time. I also felt that the default movement was a bit too sensitive, but a mouse sensitivity option could easily remedy this.

Great work!

Thanks so much for playing and the kind feedback! Glad you dug the art and gameplay overall. Definitely some good constructive criticism, if we had more time we definitely would've playtested more for balancing, the portals are intended to be shortcuts but if you miss some it can be punishing for sure. Also just a heads up we did add a sensitivity slider to make a easier for people to tune in the settings if you feel like trying with that adjusted!

Holy crap what a game! Haven't played any other for as long as I did this. Incredibly creative interpretation of the theme, stellar artstyle and direction, and super fun to jet around. Found the instakill projectiles a little bit punishing and got kind of lost in the last section but truly 10/10. Well done!

Thanks for the amazing feedback! We definitely ran out of time towards the end for playtesting, balancing and removing jank but overall really happy with how it came together. I'll make sure to check out your game for sure!
