How does your game fit the theme?
We chose to focus on cycles and specifically the life cycle of a plant. It starts with a seed, which grows into a plant that later send out its own seeds etc. Our "character" also breaks the loop of the metaphorical everyday hamsterwheel by seeking something other than the norm (a spot on a mountain instead of a field alongside everyone else)

it was realling fun understaning the different terrains, playing with angles, like a sunflower seed golfing, nicely done!

Developer

Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Cool game! Felt like Angry Birds + Getting Over It

Developer

Thanks! Hope you enjoyed it:D

It felt like playing those Foddian games, like Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy, it was fun and games until the cave part... Falling back was devastating LOL (̨̡  #`꒳´ )̧̢

Developer

Oof, yea we might need to reevaluate the difficulty curve when between the start and the cave, but hope you enjoyed it nevertheless :D

Relaxing game until the dungeon Quite hard to get to the cage and frustration hitting when you  are at the top of dungeon and seed is falling down:D
May add some instructions to first screen as I was stucked in the beginning on how to play it.

Developer(+1)

We've definitely wished we had prioritized a tutorial screen, and that's first on the to-do list! Hope you still enjoyed it nonetheless ;D

Lovely game. I can see this becoming a full product. It has a very functional, and addictive game loop, reminding me of angry birds and toss the turtle. You have my vote here. :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the nice words! Glad you enjoyed it :D

This is a great idea and I could definitely see this being a full game. The level design is really well thought out and the game wastes no time in showing off its shining qualities.

Some Quality Of Life I think some others have mentioned wouldn't go amiss such as a bar to show me how much growth I have left or an angry birds style trajectory indicator. But the lack of these in no way hampered my experience.

I really enjoyed this one and spent way longer playing than I'm willing to admit. Nice work.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback, and it's definitely something we'll take into consideration when further developing takes place! But glad you like it and still had a great time :D !

Wooooww!! It's really funny and well made! I got stuck in a cave though, kinda felt like a rage game at this point haha. Really good job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We might know where you are stuck.. It might not be too clear but maybe you can use a wall to bounce the seed off of :) ?

This game wastes no time in establishing a simple concept that's backed by a really tight, consistent artstyle that always makes it clear what you're doing and where you should be going. I loved all the set pieces like the chimney, the trampoline, the slippery rocks, and vertical cave section. Yes they were all cool, but more importantly they blended in perfectly with the core gameplay and were just flat out fun.

As others have said, a control tutorial would have been nice, but once you get the hang of movement I think Pullulate really shows off the devs' knack for level design and difficulty curves.

Can't pronounce the title for the life of me, but I thought the game was excellent. Thanks for dev-ing.

Developer(+2)

Thank you haha! Glad you liked the artstyle and its so great to hear that you had fun!

The controls were initially confusing, but once I got the hang of it, it was pretty intuitive. The game has a really nice art style and I think this would be fun as a full length Foddian type game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! A tutorial could definetly help in getting started - but glad to hear you figured it out and had fun with it :D ! (Maybe you can find our reference to another famous Foddian game :p)

(+2)

This was a lot of fun. I agree that a tutorial could be helpful, but it didn't take too much figure out the controls. It was great exploring the different areas.

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it! A tutorial has been added to our to-do list ;)

Submitted(+2)

I like the idea and the art style. I had a little trouble understanding the controls so a tutorial would be nice addition to the game. I got stuck on the rock climb so I don't know if I haven't discovered some mechanic yet, am I too dumb or it's just the way it is - small seed cannot grow on the big mountain xD Whatever the answer is, I liked it. Congratulations!

Developer(+1)

Glad you liked it even though it might be a bit unclear how to control fully. We suspect you might be able to use a wallbounce to get to where you need to go :)

Submitted(+2)

Haha the trampoline really got me - well done on this, unique idea! I like the looping nature of the sunflowers and how you have to keep carryying on and working out the best paths. Cute art and some great sounds, well done!

Developer(+1)

Haha nice with some love for the trampoline ;). Thank you for the comment we're glad you enjoyed it!

Wow, this is such a cool idea! It was already fun to start with, but when I first starting bouncing all over that rock I knew it was something special!

Developer(+1)

So glad you liked it! We hope the bouncing stayed more fun than frustrating ;D
