Creative musically-inspired defense game with some jazzy animations and instrument "towers". I didn't realize I was playing the game at a disadvantage until I read the comments below. The placement and upgrade screens aren't intuitive to me, as I play BloonsTD6 a lot and both screen are permanently available (upgrade screen persists when you click on a tower so you can click on the upgrade you want) so you can use the mouse to select towers and upgrades, so I had a hard time navigating them. I enjoy the different sounds the instruments make and the different enemy types (although I found a few quite difficult to defeat) Good job!
I thought the idea was really creative! At first, I didn't realize that mixing the sounds would make it more powerful, but once I discovered that, I had a lot more fun. Great result, congrats, it's really cool!
A DJ/tower defense game? Super creative concept! I love rotating the towers as a mechanic. Have you thought about synching the tower sounds to the tempo and key of the music? I think it would really elevate the experience!
I found some weird glitches when leaving and starting the game again a couple of times, where towers began looking like white squares in shop and sometimes in the game.
I think shop could have a graphical button or some hint towards controls in the gameplay, to avoid the need to go look it up in the main menu, because most other stuff are pretty intuitive.
And also I think the sounds could be tweaked to fit the main melody, like Super Mario Maker did with block placement, but that would probably be hard to do in a jam.
Apart from that, I had fun!
One of the better designs I’ve seen among the games I’ve perused, and the longest I’ve played! I’ve enjoyed the track turning mechanic, and I appreciate that the choices are meaningfully diverse. There’s a point to be made about pacing: It’s not a set-and-watch tower defense, but the rate of new distractions are pretty uniform and fast. There’s often no time to stop turning and browse through upgrades. Telegraphed waves of distractions and longer pauses in between might work better for this concept. Overall, promising, and could be a good starting point for a commercial game. Well done!
Very nice game blud

The game works well mechanically. Fits the theme well.
A damage stat on the instruments would be good.
