Main mechanic is LOOPing a boomerang back to the player. You play as a spy who LOOPs back information to HQ. In addition you’ll find (without spoiling too much...) the narrative has some thrilling LOOPiness ;)

Thanks so, so much for playing our game all the way through... We had a lot of fun making the end sequence, but felt a bit worried that maybe no one would reach there... Then our game met you :))

Awesome entry, would enjoy playing a full game with these mechanics and style.

I ended up using the hint system once (it was the blue and yellow switch doors) and had a "oh snap" moment finding out I killed the wrong enemy first. Nice use of the loop theme and really enjoyable mechanics combined with a lot of charm/personality.

Thanks a lot for playing our game all the way through!

That's exactly the level that prompted our hint system in the first place... So glad it came in handy :))

Really like your take on the theme, very fun game, a special agent with a boomerang is awesome.

Thanks for playing our game! Hehe, yes he's a very special agent that way. Can I just say your username made me chuckle

The visual presentation of this game is pretty top notch with cutscenes to boot, pretty impressive stuff. I liked the twist that the boomerang had to stop at each target, making you think more about the targets position more so which was really interesting to see. Some of the levels felt a bit straightforward but I can't really give that criticism in good faith considering y'all had four days to come up with puzzles so it's understandable. The final boss was a bit underwhelming, I assumed from their size it'd be a 3 hit phase fight but not really? Idk was just kind of weird but it's not a dealbreaker at all. I enjoyed the twist at the end, made all the killing up to that point a bit more palatable. Really solid game here!

Thanks for playing our game, and I am glad you enjoyed.

Very fair feedback. We didn't get a lot of time on making the level curve or difficulty very fine tuned. Yeah the boss level indeed has 3 hit phases, but while watching a few play we found there's this narrow sliver where you can hit him in 2.. So I guess props to you, for kinda playing outside the norm :D

Submitted(+1)

Oh, whoops. I hit them on the third go around after both fans turned on, just a straight shot throw.

Submitted(+1)

Very fun! The level design was cool - especially the introduction of the fans. Extremely stylish for the take as well. The only main thing is the precision pointing of the mouse can get a bit annoying. I also solved the room with the double fans by accident as I didn't know where the boomerang would ricochet. With more time I'm sure you would have gotten a level progression that felt more challenging too - we were both working on a single screen puzzle games so I know that tightrope can be hard to walk!

Great work, fun parody.

Hey thank you for playing, and the honest feedback.

Yeah I think i messed up a little with the colliders (and actually the  depth test of the shader i wrote for the pointer so it hides sometimes). Thanks for both being honest and considerate.. balancing level design for puzzles for a open jam is indeed very hard and we indeed rushed through a lot haha :P

Had a lot of fun playing your game!

Is the level with fans the last one?

Developer (3 edits)

I am glad you enjoyed. That is likely 006. The one with the boss 008 is the last one.. The Menu [Q] has all levels you can jump back and forth

Personally I would recommend doing the boss level (008) the twist in the end is worth it :P

I enjoyed this! Always love a ricochet based game and it's helped by some very charming 3D toyish graphics. Some of the levels really had me forward thinking in order to complete the loop. My only tiny criticism would be to move the continue button further from the reset button - I accidentally pressed R instead of E a few times at the start. But that doesn't detract from a super polished and charming jam game :)

I am really happy you liked our game!! :D

Oh thats really good point. I guess  i should have disabled restarting during the end dialogues scene anyways.

Very fun game, simple yet effective idea! Loved the little twist in the story. Well done

Thanks for playing our game... All the way to the end, too!

This was a great game, Really impressive that you did this in only 4 days. For some reason undo wasn't working for me, so when I make a mistake I always have to restart to the beginning, but other than that it was awesome. Well done!

Thank you for playing our game!

It's weird the undo didn't work... Is it possible you were doing Ctrl+Z instead of just Z for undo? I accidentally did that a couple times myself while playtesting lol.

Absolutely fantastic showing for a jam.  Puzzles were fair.  Art had consistent identity and polish.  Presentation and pacing were on point.  Bravo!

Thank you for your very kind words... We had a lot of fun making the game, and it makes me so happy that our efforts made it to our players :)

This is great! Really clever use of a boomerang to have it move one step at a time - it allows you to do some really clever things with your puzzles. Nice job!

What a lovely comment! Thanks for playing our game... I'm so thrilled you enjoyed it :))
