Really enjoyable to play, nice job! If I could change something, I'd make the arrows larger and make sure to better indicate to the player when they change to something else. And, the sound effect for pressing the wrong arrow almost sounds like a sound for doing something right. I'd consider changing it.

But, all in all, a really solid entry and really enjoyable to play. Good job! :)

Thanks for the feedback :). You are right about the sound

Great music and like the games visual style. For me it was pretty random if I hit the beat. But overall a fine little game.

Very good and hypnotizing haha. Simple but well executed, good work! Has great juiciness to it too. Great work!

The only complaint is that it starts to get kinda impossible to react to the note direction after a while, and when the direction changes is difficult to react too.

Other than that, great job!

I also made a rhythm game haha, you might like it too.

Insanely good! Simple but really well executed My highscore is 762.2k with a full combo, aside from maybe the first note.

As a bit of feedback, it would be good if there was a count-in at the start of the song on each loop, since it's really disorienting when the thing changes directions, or right after you exit the starting menu. Might also be good to have a small animation, like a color flash, when a note changes, so that it doesn't come as such a surprise when they start changing. I'll also echo someone else and say that color-coding the arrows would help the readability. I think the difficulty is just right for a game jam game though, and the song is pleasant. Good stuff.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the great feedback.  Also - wow you officially are better playing the game than the dev :)

This has really nice game feel but it feels a little impossible once the there are three arrows you have to hit. More time to register the next input would do wonders for this. Also instead of using arrow keys you could maybe try like left shift and right shift cause hitting all inputs with same hand gets a bit difficult. Great audio and visual effects btw.

Developer

Thanks, yes more input options definetely would have been a good idea :)

Hey man, very intuitive within 1 second i got what i was meant to do and got in the vibe , very cool! It was a bit hard spotting the direction changes, maybe in the future give each direction a certain color or distinct shape, would make this even more addictive and zen than it already is (for me).

the difficulty just ramps up while i was just casually hitting up and down only... haha need an easy mode for beginners like me

Developer

I actually added the difficulty ramp last minute - before it was all directions from the start. I even thought about adding some other keys to the mix, lol. But I did let someone try the game and understood that there needs to be some sort of difficulty progression xD

haha wish you couldve kept the easy mode so i can just tap away to the tune without mastering it

Developer

Maybe I add it post-jam :)

Great little rhythm game that has more variation up its' sleeve than it seems at first. I agree with other commenters that some larger control indicators would have been nice. The first time the input changed threw me off quite a bit until I figured out what had happened. Still, otherwise nice game feel, so good job!

Awesome game! I love the music, it's an absolute banger. Toggling between the up and down arrows was fun but once the third arrow is thrown in my brain can't keep up. It's great when it reverses and slows down to give you a chance. I think some more distinction between the different arrows would help, e.g. each direction has a different colour and shape. I couldn't process the upcoming input fast enough and got overwhelmed. The spiral background and beat-synced bopping effects were cool. Nice work!

Cool game! I am sucker for music games :) But the control scheme is terrible! my arrows on keyboard are so small and with this type of game you need to use multiple fingers. It would be much more enjoyable if the keys you press were spread around the keyboard with more space around it for compfortable finger placement.

(anyway, I got something like 75K, third arrow killed me :) )

Developer(+1)

Oh sorry xD I did not think of that, would have been an easy fix to support WASD or something like that.

Fun little rhythm game! The low energy "wow" gave me a chuckle

Nice soundtrack! I like the juice and shake every time you hit a note, it was pretty fun :)

I had a LOT of fun with this, I suck at rhythm games and tbh this was no exception but I stuck it out and got kinda good (until it changed directions on me). The music is also a bop, found myself playing for a good few minutes just to keep hearing the soundtrack.
