How does your game fit the theme?
You loop on to points in the environment in order to traverse with your magic lasso. Also, if you fall you find yourself in a loop having to climb back up again.

I always love a good foddian game and the curled up defensive posture of the player character when taking a big fall is such a good alternative to the classic ragdoll that I'm shocked that this is the first time I'm seeing it.
This game does a good job of being challenging and engaging while being free enough that you can make your own grapple points anywhere. The rolling animation when you fall is hilarious, which is good because I sure see it a lot
Probably my favorite game so far, even if I'm abysmally bad at it, I play for almost half an hour in assist mode. The game is still way too hard in normal mode, even without considering my skills alone, maybe a few checkpoints would have made it a little bit better, since I couldn't finish it even with save states from the assist mode. Still absolutely love the game !
I love this game! The art is cute, i like what you did with the music. The best part by far is the movement system though. It fits the style of a foddian game very well. There is a surprising amount of depth to it as well. I like the bullet time addition as well.
some feedback:
I know the almost no air control was a deliberate choice, but I think where you land after you swing is already very hard to control precisely so giving some leeway would make the game feel a bit better. That being said I personally would still keep it a lot lower than any traditional platformer (the game is still supposed to be about swinging good)
The game isn't super long so this isn't that big of a deal, but because of how the tumbling works after you fall and because a decent amount of the platforming is done on thin blocks with little height variation to catch you if you are tumbling to the side, falling at all often means falling all the way down no matter how high you were before falling.
I would probably also make the first swing up to the platform in the tutorial a bit easier.
Please don't take the points before the wrong way, I adore this game. I went back after my first playthrough to mess around with the movement and needless to say the game is only scratching the surface of what's possible. Will probably play some more to see how low the time can go.
Great job!
Really appreciate your comment! I think I’m in full agreement with your feedback.
That was pretty cool. Very hard, but I started to get the hang of jumping, throwing a bolder and then immediately grappling it
i suck but wow the core mechanics of this are so so strong. i really like this! im usually a big fan of foddian games but im not super sure that format works well for this kind of expressive platformer, this but level based would be perfect. the texture of the music increasing as the level progresses is super cool too, really like that little touch. super good, great work!
I think this would be really fun if it weren't so infuriatingly difficult. Boring as it seems, I think more conventional platformer controls may have actually made it more thrilling.
Big fan of how the loops and rock interact for massive skill expression
Interesting mechanic, here. I got a little past the “good luck” message, then fell, and didn’t really feel like getting all the way back up again… the “foddian” concept, to be honest, is not my favorite conceit, because often I feel it doesn’t add much to the game beyond making failure especially devastating.
I enjoyed what I played before I fell, though. I might give the player a bit more air control, if that’s not too far away from the intent of the game - platformers without it I find can often feel a little awkward to play, since because it’s customary to provide higher air control, I tend to sometimes jump before reaching max speed, which doesn’t work well with controls like in this game. That might be somewhat up to preference, though. Good work overall!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I did deliberately have almost no air-control, but maybe in this case it might not have been the best idea. I think it might work better in more controlled environments, like if the game world was smaller and contained to a single screen width-wise.
really hard!! the art and audio are lovely, and mechanics are really cool, but I couldn’t quite get the hang of them!
I like the mechanic of throwing boulders to grapple onto and the music growing thicker as you ascend the tower is a nice touch. However im a bit mixed on the controls. They feel a bit clunky and stiff which does help add to the difficulty but also makes it quite unfun to move around.
audio and visuals are lovely! I like the mechanics but found it too difficult, even just jumping felt like I wasn't strong enough
Cool game! Very nice game machanics. But as the previous commentators already stated: It is very hard to beat. Guess that makes the true loop experience when you have to try again and again. And again.

Hey! Nice lasso game! That was very, very difficult, even with the assist mode!
The boulders are so cool. I never thought about how you could just throw your own grappling hooks. Amazing work!

Awesome platformer, the boulder mechanic is really cool and the slowmo on the swing jump is really satisfying. Very hard though which I guess is the point :)
I really like the game mechanically, especially the boulders. But I kinda suck at the game haha, spent 10 minutes just to accidentally ragdoll myself so hard the momentum carried me all the way back to the bottom.
Great job though!
