I really had fun with the writing and art in this game! It was engaging to wonder what the next item or boss attack would be and having multiple difficulties was a nice touch to help with pacing. Great work!

Hey man, checked it out and really enjoyed it, the art and writing were the highlights for me, the gameplay felt a tad too slow in my opinon, given more time, I would love for the enemy to use his abilities a bit faster(from basic movements to fire attacks), the writing was really well done! The amount of mechanics is also super impressive for a jam.

Did you find the boss too slow even on hard mode? It does go a lot faster on hard mode... :)
I was playing on medium difficulty, yeah it's better on hard :p
I still didn't like waiting for him to jump a few times until he "really starts" to present a challenge, I also think that tweaking the movement of both the player and the boss to be faster could improve the flow.
Yeah, I hear you! There was no time left for that amount of tweaking, and I'm honestly just super glad that the game turned out pretty balanced and without any glitches.
I dont usually like platformers, but this was quite enjoyable, which is surprising considering how many I went through in this jam. I also love the witty writing and remarks, they definitely add an extra special touch. The character is the highlight for me though, as it is so so adorable

Remove the easy and medium diffculty, I really enojyed the hard difficulty, that should be the deafult settings to enjoy the gameplay and narrative aspects of this game. It would have been awesome of the frog let me choose my power ups, like "you can have the mirror but no the double jump" like power ups
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the hard difficulty, I like that as well, but several game testers had a hard time even beating the game on normal, so I think it's good we have all the difficulty settings!
Do you mean that you can't have all power ups at the same time, or just that you can choose what to obtain when?
