Hey! Got around to play your game that you submited on stream!

For a first game jam, this is incredible work! You captured the idea and executed it well! I loved the idea of the walls that required sacrifices to break through which makes this version of this concept super unique - And I think if you want to work on this idea more, adding more to this concept in new ways- sacrificing yourself like lemmings to progress - would be a way to stand out in the crowd! I love the idea of willingly doing something stupid to make a crack in the wall idea a lot!

Congrats guys - ya'll should be proud!

Developer

Hey thanks Smalls, we're so glad that you liked it. We've got a more refined version coming shortly after voting period ends. Thanks for all the hard work playing and rating games on stream.

The concept of this game is really good. It's fun and the art is really cute.

Developer

Hi Sashio, thanks for playing our game and leaving feedback, it means alot.

nice to see a top down version of this loop puzzle solving rather than platforming. i thought the walls you had to break through were quite unusual, and a nice element. the multiple layers of music was a nice touch. great work!

Developer

Thank you for playing, yes I've not seen any other top down time repeating puzzles, hopefully that it is good sign.

Interesting game

Very unique music

Like it :D

Developer

Thanks for playing, getting the music to add more layers each time you loop was a fun challenge

Fun! I won and used 66 ghosts

Developer

Thanks for playing :)

Our game has a very similar concept, with "clones" that repeat our actions and help us solve puzzles, so I genuinely enjoy this game and the idea, good job! :)

Thank you for playing and commenting, I've just played yours and it is great

Well executed take on the theme. However, I felt like the breaking door mechanic was a bit buggy. Sometimes I needed more ghosts than necessary, like one of my ghosts did no damage to it. Still, good job, and nice narrative!

Developer

Hey Waffle, thanks for playing our game. Yes that is one of the bugs that unfortunately slipped through. I didn't get my collision logic air-tight player vs ghosts. However this is already fixed in a separate version that will be release this weekend after the jam has ended as well as a few extras. Many thanks for the feedback.

Submitted

yes I can imagine that could be quite tricky to do correctly since timing is so important. it's cool you've already fixed it though! I'll definitely play it again

Really nice entry.

You mentionned how you never done this art style before, and you nailed it honestly !

Really fun mechanics and dialogues, the length of the game feels appropriate too

On a feedback note, I'm gonna say that the clock that you need to walk into to reset the level feels kinda unnecessary. It would make the gameplay flow better to bind this action to the space key for exemple.

Also, I don't think the pits where necessary either. I actually wondered why I would die randomly sometimes until I realized I could fall in the black spaces. I actually ended up falling on purpose to restart the level faster tho.

Really good job, especially given the limited time you had to focus on the game !

Hi Teaco, thank you for playing and the in-depth feedback. Cool idea with hotkey to rewind instead of object. The pits were added as a threat and we were thinking that upon a robots 'death' it would automatically activate a rewind to try again but we didn't have time to visually communicate that the player was falling and that that would trigger a restart, definitely something we'd like to get in in a future release. Falling on purpose to save time rather than going back to the clock was an intentional design choice, as it's something the player could go, hey I found a faster way to to this.

Many thanks again, look out for the future version release this weekend which addresses bugs and adds a bit more polish.

The idea of having a shadow that mimics the player's actions from the previous loop is super cool — though definitely tricky to design levels around. This game pulls it off quite well! I also really liked the dialogue, and the visual style is very consistent.

Developer

I am terrible at playing puzzles, I didn't realise it would be harder to design them, still a very fun first jam for us. Thanks for playing and posting :)

Well executed fun game with a solid mechanic! Loved the dialogue addition a lot. Really puts a nice pacing combined with the gameplay. I can see a lot of options to explore and exploit this mechanic much more - hope I get to see that some day! I think you could easily reduce the number of available moves to get some challenge and opportunity to take even more time with the game. Great job <3

Developer

Thank you for your feedback and enjoyment it really makes it worth while. We've lots of ideas for more mechanics and alternative game modes that we couldn't get in in time, so if it continues to be received positively we will defiantly work on updates. Follow either myself or add to collection for more :D
