such a quirky and fun game :-] i love the lil guy that's supposed to be us and i died when he looked down the street and the houses in front looked nothing like the houses when you look left/right 🤣 for your first puzzle game, this was amazing! definitely could use some QOL (like a way to retrieve all pins, etc.) but given the time crunch, this was super cool!

I REALLY LOVED the art style of this one, pretty unique :D. Also, I liked the comedy and the sound design is top-notch. Good job :D.
By the way, I beat the last level with just 3 pins.

Developer(+1)

Hi ! Glad you enjoyed the game, and about the three pins :

Didn't expect storytelling for a puzzle game as simple as this (as mechanics, not game design). It was funny and the art style helped the surreal aspect.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing ! I think storytelling always works in the favor of games, even the simplest ones. So I'm glad you enjoyed it !

Finally it was a bomb... I managed to finish the last one with only 3 pins!
It was a fun game! Beware of the image size, they can make loading long ;)

Developer

Thanks for the advice ! I just found out about the 3 pins solution, good job on outsmarting the game lol

Developer

Thank you ! I've never made a puzzle game before so my balancing isn't great yet, but i'll keep that in mind !

A bit hard, but fun! The mixed media art style works well too.

This was really fun! I dont know if I got to the end or not though I only did a few levels. I did see a (SPOILER WARNING) bomb and then my game seemed to freeze.  Either way, i really had fun

Congrats on your first game jam as well! Hope you had as much fun making it as it was playing it

Developer

Thank you ! If you installed the game, the bomb would've closed the game automatically. I didn't know that making it browser friendly would prevent that, but i'll definitely fix that in my future games ! I really enjoyed making this one !

Hahahah! That's a cool ending lol.

Just making the game crash basically!

Glad I found that out even if I didnt get to experience it

the storytelling's what got me through the game, also the puzzle was nice. only, some kind of a tutorial would be good to have, but its well made as it is ^^

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for playing ! Could you tell me what made the game rely mostly on storytelling ? I added a post- submission tutorial in the description. The feedback is really helpful !

Submitted(+1)

i wouldnt say it relies mostly on storytelling, sorry for my wording in the comment before. what i mean is that it was engaging. thanks for clarifying about the tutorial!

A fun idea and the little story around it kept me playing!

I think tightening up the speed of things could be beneficial, like the re-wind when you get a puzzle wrong felt VERY slow and got frustrating quickly, but the silly story kept me pushing forward and I chucked at the ending!

Good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks you for playing ! You're right, I guess i wanted to make each attempt matter and ended up leaning in too much into the mechanic aesthetic.

Submitted(+1)

Totally understandable! I honestly hope you continue to work on the game or develop off it because the charm was spot on!

Neat! cool idea for the art, it works better than you'd expect. A tutorial'd be helpful, as well as a hint button.

Developer

Thanks ! I thought the art style might look too "amateur", which it does honestly, but glad you liked it ! Your comment also made me add a tutorial, so thank you for your feedback !

Really cool game! My biggest note would be to add a little bit more of a tutorial on how the puzzle works, I found myself a little confused at the start. I really liked the photographs as textures an animations, it's not something you see often! Also as a first Godot game it's really awesome (and awesome engine choice btw, go open source!). Great job :)

Developer

Thanks ! I could only add a tutorial as a note since you can't edit the files anymore, but I think this will help the players a lot !

Pretty interesting concept for a puzzle. also I love your style of storytelling ^^

Developer

thanks you for playing ! The artstyle is the only thing i couldn't do myself so this was the only option i saw.
