How does your game fit the theme?
Our Project fits the theme of loop for GMTK Game Jam 2025 by being stuck in a room that loops every time you reach the exit door , but everytime you get an option of obstacles to add into the room

I thought it was funny that every time I went through the door, the character fell to the side. A suggestion would be to scale up the screen size, as I found it a bit small. Overall, I think it’s a nice idea. It made me think strategically about where to place the items so I could still get through the door. Good job!

Nice little concept! I think it would be nice if you could play other peoples levels and if there was a way to have the loops more controlled challenging if that makes sense. Now it takes a while to make it challenging, and to be honest, why would you make it challenging for yourself ;) Regardless you can be very proud of finishing your very first game! Looking forward to whatever you cook up for a next jam!

great concept, I think it could be a really great co-op game where you each add to the other's next run. I liked the music too

Good concept, unfortunately as already said in a prior comment its more down to the player to actually make it challenging since unlike Ultimate Chicken Horse you're trying to also screw your opponents over.

As a suggestion, how about having traps be placed automatically (usually put in the way) and you use your turn placing blocks to help circumvent the new traps, those blocks could also have traps attached to them, things like a wall you can jump on with a spinning blade orbiting it, or a wall with spikes on 1 side.

Honestly this concept has a lot of potential and you've already got the core framework down, its certainly something you could take further after the jam.

I like the concept! Kinda like Ultimate Chicken Horse but solo. Only issue I has was that giving me the freedom place the obstacle anywhere made is easy to just place things well out of the way. I think it would be pretty good and challenging to maybe have predefined places to set the traps, so you have no choice but to put them in your path.

Also, I love that boi

Yeah i kinda could predict ppl would  cheese the level but we just started a bit late so we left it more open, also first time making a character sprite so thank you

I really like the concept of the game and I had a fun time playing. I would of liked a smaller room tho because it was very easy to just spam everything at the top

Yeah i kinda knew the player could cheese by placing traps above but its too late to change things now

I really enjoyed this! The idea is really creative and I personally loved the freedom of placing my own obstacles (the mix between a platformer and basically a level editor is a really interesting combination). I think with just a smaller room and maybe some limited slots on the walls it might have been more of a challenge. But overall, great stuff!

I wanted to make the room a bit more abstract but we did start the project a bit late so we focused on other things, but thank you for your feedback!

Yeah, that's totally fair
