This was great! I love the concept of having to pick the right order to play cards to win the fight. The only problem I has was due to the random card pulls I went a few rounds with no progress (me and the enemy not taking any damage) which got a bit tedious because I had to watch each loop knowing nothing was going to happen. I think this could work well as a more structured puzzle game and it would avoid those moments where you feel like you are wasting turns.
A card game in a game jam?? Really impressive! :D
I think I ran into a bug where enemies skip turn cards still damaged me? It was also a bit unclear what was happening and who went first, I think more tutorial would help there.
The art was also really cute, well done!
You managed to make a "The Bazaar" prototype in a Jam, that's outstanding!! And personally I loved the silly music
Nice idea! I liked this, and especially the element of cards is very interesting. I also quite liked the music. Great job!
Nice idea and implementation! Enjoyed mix of deck building and puzzeliness of programming loops ^_^
I love this type of games but seemed to me little bit unbalanced when my shield is pumping high , but well done.
I enjoyed the bit of strategy that goes into planning each loop. Very cool idea.
Its an interesting small game. Reminds me a lot on Mech vs Minions (board game). It took me a while to understand that each loop buffs stack, so I barely scraped by. I know its just a jam game but I found it to be quite shallow as I could just stack armor up as it persisted. I personally am not too much of a fan of that, I think it should have been reset after each encounter.
I found the UI design to be a bit weird and confusing, but thats probably just me. I think instead of the circle arrow in the menu, an X would have been sufficiant, and for starting a round, the good old play button or something similar would have worked better.
I hope this feedback can help you make improvements to your games in the future.
I think i sounded perhaps a tad too negative in here, despite the points I mentioned, it was a fun experience. It felt monotonous at times because it was just encounter after encounter but thats a jam, hard to make the biggest games in that time. Congrats on finishing tho! And good luck with your future gamedev journey :>
Nice take on the theme, the UI could have been a bit better and with little more card options
Wasn't a big fan of this one, the game dragged on for a bit too long when i got a lot of shields, but that could be because i don't play this type of game very often
I like the vibes, a really cozy game even if it can be hard to choose the good cards for our backpack. This can allow multiple strategies so it's really interesting to play
Its a simple concept but well executed !
Love the fun and simple concept! Pretty easy to get stuck tho if the you don't get enough attack cards.
Cool vibes!
i like the implement of cards and strategy, could be more interactive
I really enjoyed this roguelike deckbuilder! The visuals are simple, not over the top, they are cohesive and appealing to the eye. While winning seems easy from the start, the game really develops a couple of enemies in. Great concept - and with a little polish, it will be an awesome game!
Cool concept! RNG mostly but still fun.
I liked the concept and had a lot of fun playing it. Great job on the UI and the tutorial!
I really like this design. I did end up in basically an endless loop because the enemy was healing a bunch and I didn't have enough damage to do kill it. That said, I think this is a really good idea and I still had fun and enjoyed the art. Fitting background music that's nice and calming too.
good rougelike deckbuilder, but now we get to loop on it
