Simple concept, but executed well! The controls and the difficulty feel fair, the graphics are charming and the music and sfx fit the vibe too
Saw the name of this game and just had to play it. Simple game but pretty well done all in all, and very funny interpretation of the theme. The mechanics of the game are pretty well communicated, and I didn't run into any issues while playing whatsoever. I do wish the game got a little harder as you progressed, but that's just a teensy little nitpick.
Congrats on the submission, and well done!
You are soooo right, I was worried it would have been too unfair to pick the bottles up if I sped everything up, but thinking about it now if you go faster you just encounter more bottles lol. Thanks for the feedback!
Simple game but really fun, the idea of loop is instersting, good job!
Thanks!
Really loved the clean mechanics and those smooth controls—snagging bottles felt oddly satisfying.
Nice to hear, thanks for playing!
Great story, and the game is simple but fun!
Thanks!
Simple and fun! It's nice to see some environmental awareness being spread during a game jam, good job!
Thanks :)
This game is really cool! It is so simple but it works really well. It could be a little better if there was some form of narrative but its really good for four days. Well done! Also I got 45 :D
Thanks for playing!
Very solid execution of a quite generic endless game. the controls feel good, the audiovisual presentation is quite nice and I like the little background story.
Though it creates a bit of ludonarrative dissonance with the goal being trying to collect plastic bottles to stay swimming as long as possible, especially with the game's name referencing Sisyphus. Story-wise swimming is meant to be the punishment. Or are you actually an advocate of Albert Camus conception of Sisyohus? In that case, I revoke my complaint.
The restart is not to keep him swimming but to punish him if he doesn't do it's job (collecting bottles). The title is mostly catchy and not to take too seriously, the only similarity to Sisyphus is just that they both have been punished eternally.
I appreciate that you took your time to play it and leave a comment, thanks!
I got 74!
Very zen and relaxing, with moments of tension when you need to get the shiny junk from a tight spot. Should I play it safe and force myself to get the next one? Or, is it best to try for it?
I'd love to see more from this :)
Glad you liked it, thanks for playing!!
Pretty fun, even though some of the shiny junk was in very tight positions that could kill your run. Liked the art as well, but it could use a teensy bit more polish. Pretty good game overall.
One must imagine Fishyphus happy.
True, there are some specific spots where it's very very very difficult to get the bottle and yeah if you are low on time or get 2 in a row it's basically over.
Thanks for the feedback and for playing I really appreciate it :)
I just love the fact that the fish has a big frown because its Fishyphus, and the music is good too
Thanks for the comment and thanks for playing :)
Is this how it feels like to be a fish? I enjoyed it, I just wish I could use a controller, I think that could be very satisfying. Good job with the game!
Thanks for the feedback, I'll keep it in mind for my next games
The precise inputs required make this game pretty addicting! Could this be the new Flappy Bird?
Hahaha who knows
I like the plot, art style is cute too
Thanks!
