What did you learn?
I learned a lot about perlin noise, doing calculus with code, water graphics, GUI in C++, shell texturing, and optimization with chunking. The chunking in particular was pretty difficult to get working, and all the other optimizations were too. I might add more stuff like trees, biomes, and better colouring when I come back to this.

How did you improve the terrain?
I added most of the things that I wanted to add, like the optimization, more terrain variance, water graphics (which looks nice with the skybox), and various optimizations to render a large area at once.

Oooh, the grass in this is fun! Looks like a similar technique to some of the fur rendering in that jam!
