How does your game fit the theme?
This games core "Loop" revolves around returning back to the menu whether that be to access new levels or to help solve puzzles. The ending might also look a bit familiar!

The game is pretty creative and unique. Clever mechanics and design. And making the menu as the level buttons is also pretty witty I would say. Well done. I hit a bug on the A level. Otherwise pretty good.
This was a really cute puzzle game. I like the thought bubbles of the characters when you get close to them. Keep it up!
I really enjoyed this game! and the transitions and animations were very cute and seamless.
Hey, thanks for coming around and rating me back! I'm glad you liked the transitions because the code for them is like 60 lines of spaghetti.
I loved the idea too much, you implement the theme very well. I liked the art, especially the letter to door transition. Furthermore, I want to say I want to see more of the game, but the game is already is complete. I would love to see more from you, and good luck in the jam.
I would love to say that the game is complete, but there's soooo sooo much that I wanted to add and I may further develop this game in the future. I'm glad you liked the game and good luck to you too!
Very cute and charming game! i really love the art too!
Thank you! I love your pixelated Persicaria!
:o
Thank you!
its so rare to see someone that has played this game too! I made a lot of drawings on my twitter if like it hehe 👉👈
Really cool take ! Had a good laugh when the character went in the menu ! I liked the minimalist art style and how it is easy to understand what the goal is as a player ! Great work
Thank you! I didn't know the intro cutscene was funny, but seeing it work definitely brought me a ton of joy. I'm glad you liked it!
Others have said it but the artwork is great here! I always love a simplistic 2 color palette. And you nailed it here. Nice work!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
Glad you like the art. It's honestly half, if not more, of the appeal of the game. I'll be sure to check your game out. Keep an eye out for my comment!
Will do! Yeah I went the same route for mine. The art is the main pull
what i liked the most about this game was the artwork tbh
That's alright! I put a lot of love into making the art for the game and, even though I think I could make the art a lot more interesting, I still love it as it is!
Very cool idea and the intro sequence to introduce it was great! I agree with some of the other suggestions, the beginning ramp up was kind of slow and boring, but once I reached the settings levels, then it started becoming more interesting, involved the theme a lot more, and had better puzzle designs!
Seeing the intro sequence work actually got me through the first couple of days because I loved it so much haha. I definitely agree that the ramp up needed to be abbreviated, but something to keep in mind is that I've never made a puzzle in my life lol. Much of this game's design revolves around me figuring things out for the very first time and, if I were to do it again, I'd do things veeeery differently. I'm glad people are responding well to the idea itself though, I just wish I could've done it justice haha.
A cool puzzle game. At first, it seemed a bit boring because the first levels (STA) only involved moving blocks to one possible place. In my opinion, this part should be shortened or made more challenging. But then the new puzzle style made the game much more interesting, especially when you had to use the previous mechanics.
The end credits surprised me a little because the screen didn't move at all during the entire game up to that point.
At some point, I wanted each level to carry its own set of characters who had their own wants/needs for what the settings were, but I realized I was overscoping quite a bit. If I were to expand on this game more, I'd definitely make each character unique since you can only have so much fun seeing the same snail and campfire every time. It'd also give the end credits more company!
I appreciate that you like the slow ramp through the puzzles haha. A few other comments are saying the beginning needs to be abbreviated, which I agree with, so I'll be sure to do better either when I further develop this game or when I participate in the next jam.
Wow! Even just on the push-box-on-button aspect of the game, incredibly clean execution. The menu thing genuinely threw me the first time. And there's so much game in it for a game jam submission. At least I assume there is based on context clues, I'm only on the R in start, but I'll definitely be coming back to finish what there is
Thanks for coming to rate my game after I rated yours. It makes me really happy to hear that this is something you want to come back to and finish. There was definitely a lot more I wanted to do with this game and I'm thinking about fleshing it out a little more after the jam!
So cute!! I loved the concept - kinda reminded me of the way "Baba is You" started breaking all those menu rules. The puzzles in the Settings was really fun, and I like how all the friends/creatures showed up in the credits loop sequence too. It's a great visual style and honestly the only thing I think it needs is music coming out of the speaker that the guy has! Great job :)
I really wanted to get music in the game but I had no experience making music. I really wanted to do the game justice with a great soundtrack and I'm really bummed that I couldn't!
Alright immediately love the concept. REALLY cool game!! I got to the A in Start so far, but this is one of the games that I'm actually just going to pick up on my own a little later in my free time. I'm suuuper interested to see what's going to happen with the menu!!!
I think it's hard to get someone hooked to a game jam game, but I really think I am :P
By the way, the .exe has a Windows Defender warning, unfortunately
I'm glad you liked it and were excited to come back! I'm surprised that the beginning levels hooked you because, honestly, I thought that was the most boring part O_O"
