How does your game fit the theme?
As the player, you explore the inside of an old computer to find inspiration, create sprites, and fix bugs. Essentially simulating the chaotic, creative loop of a team during a game jam. The theme "Loop" is reflected in the endless cycle of finding inspiration, creating art, debugging, and iterating over the game that every developer faces until the game jam is over.

First of all, I want to say I love the feel of the game. I think you really nailed it. I loved the fact that when you draw the sprites, they are actually used in a game build haha that was really fun to see. And I think having mini-game like this was an awesome addition.

I wish I could finish the work, however, the puzzles were a bit too confusing for me :( I read previous replies to get through (I also tried dragging the files inside the void), but after that I got stuck after completing Flappy Bird.

But it's comletely normal, you said it's your first time designing a narrative puzzle game, and I think it shows amazing potential!! All these things are done through trial and error - and well, the game jams are a perfect opportunity for some testing haha

Overall, awesome job!!! I loved all the little details you added,  I think you're very talented.

Very cool game! i see some people are getting stuck on the drag files part. I was stuck too but saw your instructions and i continued. I would sugest maybe add a "reaction" of the player or maybe the friend like "no that's a bad idea" or something like that. Just so it looks like you are close. The rest of the game is really cool. I know they are not that hard to make but i was surprised that the minesweep and flappy bird were actually functional (a lot of jam games aren't(?) haha). In fact i won the first minesweep game haha. The final puzzle was also cool. Really solid entry overall.

I really liked the cat images btw ^^

Very cool, and quite the nostalgia trip. :-)

Had some trouble clicking/opening files, so I didn't make it very far, but the feel of this game is on-point!

I also got stuck on the dragging files, thought ctrl + s was the answer, dammit I wanna continue playing. Really cool concept and narrative

I'm not exactly sure where you got stuck, but here's a quick rundown of the first puzzle steps:

Puzzel 1 : First, grab the bomb from the Minesweeper section and drop it the bridge.

Puzzel 2 : Use the word you got from the Wordle puzzle and drop it the bridge.

Puzzel 3 : Drop the bomb into the fire to trigger an explosion that scares the bird (there is another riddle for this). Finally, use the item you get from that to solve the the other riddle and move on to the next stage.

This is my first time trying to create a story/puzzle-driven game, and I know some of the puzzles might not have been perfectly designed, but still, thank you so much for playing my game!

very meta, love the concept and narrative!

i got stuck on dragging files into the bridge though - i'm not sure why it doesn't work for me (maybe i'm missing something really obvious..)

oh wow i was nowhere near solving puzzle 1, i was just trying to drag each file on the desktop into the bridge - and i didn't realise that minesweeper was playable. thanks for the quick rundown!

great game, i really enjoyed the narrative and all the little touches (such as grey lines sliding on the screen) -- really sells the idea that "my computer is borked". i think it's a well-designed puzzle game and very well-executed!

a hint system could be nice for the more obtuse players like me 😅

i hope you work more on it
