How does your game fit the theme?
In order to complete a level you have to make a loop, touching a number of runes. It was originally inspired by graph theory and the Konigsberg Bridge problem, mixed in with my favourite platformers.

I used some code from other PICO-8 games including Celeste and the BBS to implement a few handy utilities.

Woooooo! A really good execution of the theme and the audio and art are top-notch. Solid all 5s from me!!
Brought back a lot of good memories. Feedback is the jump could be relative to how long I used to press the button. If you truly want to emulate the Game Boy advanced vibes. But overall I loved it. Five stars for everything.
Well-executed game that looks great. I had a good time playing it though I think the difficulty ramped up a bit too fast. Otherwise it was a lot of fun.
Thanks for playing! I definitely agree on teh difficulty haha.
The combination of many moving portals and the flexible order of connecting them gives rise to some emergent scenarios, which is very cool. I had some near-miss action scenarios with lasers, which didn't feel like the intended solution AND was very fun the go through. I also really like the frog character and their speech, it's very cute and funny. I'm unfortunately a victim of the
soft-locketernal imprisonment at the lair of wizard but I really had fun playing it :)Nooo! The soft-lock is fixed for the post-jam haha. I agree on the emergent scenarios, I didn't expect that when I started designing it. Would be curious to see how other people solve the levels.
classic game and nice puzzle, feel enjoyable.
If possible, can you please rate my game and leave a comment too?
Very cool game idea and well executed! Also love the little frog animations. The jump puzzles are tough as heck. Anyway great job!
nice game with nice art
I don't usually play puzzle games but this one was pretty cool.
LOVE EVERYTHING
hope to see more of Portal Panic!!!
Really enjoyed the well designed puzzle platforming, and loved the tired lil frog!
Very fun and cool idea! I love the art and also I love how all the tutorial text is written like it's the wizards note to self. Great job!
thanks so much, i love doing pixel art, it's so soothing.
Wow!!! Well made game!!!! So nice!!!!
thank you!
its tough! but really fun, makes me feel like im at the arcade
aww thank you so much, and thanks for playing!
Woah! Really hard, and controls so well! I haven’t played Celeste yet, but I’ve watched enough videos to see the resemblance in the level design - It feels and plays great!
Haha it truly is too hard, I'm going to tune it down for the post-jam version. Glad you liked it! Celeste is one of my favourite games :)
Just finished start to end, very cool and simple loop based puzzles with fun (sometimes frustrating) platforming. Lots of content too. And also love the pico art you got there! Right now this is my second fav of the jam just after the other frog game, Frog Kisses. Frog supremacy!
thank you for pointing me in the direction of frog kisses hahaha. FROGS.
one of my favorite game so far! you took the loop idea quite litteraly and it makes for a pretty great and challenging platformer! by level three i was already struggling (complimentary)
Haha thank you so much toulou ^_^
Really cool game. Combination of lasers and platforming made for some fun if difficult levels. But you made so much in the time so great work.
Thank you! It was a bit of a rush but I'm quite happy with some of the level designs.
Froginald P Toad is such a little guy.
The core mechanic is cool a definitely feels like it could be the heart of bigger game. The puzzle design feels a little to brutal, I eventually gave up on the spring levels because I just couldn't move the character precisely enough.
The writing and narrative presentation are great.
Haha thank you so much! I agree on the brutal difficulty, I'm going to try adn adjust it. I did have some ideas for other kinds of rune/node, I might think about expanding it... thank you so much for playing!
Incredibly cool. You weren't lying about difficulty, some areas are borderline precision-platformer hard. That one level with lots of bounce pads and spikes was especially devious.
I got to the wizard, but unfortunately the game bugged out for me: I jumped above the map, my frog disappeared (turned invisible? Hands reacted as if I was running underneath when I pressed around directional buttons).
I think it would be easier to beat it for the second time, so I would replay it a bit later.
Amazingly sweet puzzle platformer, good stuff!
Ah nooo, I'm so sorry! I'm going to fix that in the post-jam version. :)
Here's the ending screen you deserved, since you didn't get to see it: https://imgur.com/etxbJOk
