I genuinely respect the hustle, making a game entirely in pygame.

Anywho, I got through the first day eventually, but I eventually just gave up with the game, seeing as most of my time spent with the game was spent waiting for the details to actually show up so I could write them down and work out if they would be usable. If there wasn’t a very long wait for the candidate to get through the same preliminary introduction and actually provide their details, that might help to make the game a bit more bearable, but, after around 20 minutes or so (and very little progress), I just gave up with the game.

Thanks!

I just uploaded improved version, so it should be better now.

Did you have problems with picture scaling or you was lucky to have +- same screen size as i have?

Trying to launch the .exe file gives me the "windows doesn't have access to specified device path" error, no matter how much I change the permissions. Is there something I'm missing?

Eitherway I like how this game is python based! From what I can see in the folders, the artstyle and sound design is solid too

Alright nevermind that, It suddenly works now. The game is confusing at first but I figured it out. The concept is interesting and definitely could work for sure.  The biggest issue right here is the UI elements going offset from their intended positions based on the screen resolution. I have 1440p but I tried going down and played the game at 720p. Nonetheless, this is impressive for a Python project. Good work!

Thanks! :)

I forgot to update it. OqO
Will publish fixed UI soon.

Hmm this is an interesting one!

First of all, I really like the visual style! It's kinda crappy but cohesive, and I overall think it suits the game quite well. The music loop is also pretty hilarious!

I would say while the game was slightly confusing at first, I  did eventually work out what was going on.

I had some problems with scaling  with this game? Maybe it was because I  was using a 4K monitor, but a lot of items seemed not in their correct places 😅

Maybe the biggest criticism is that I just don't think the gameplay loop is very fun. It seems like there's quite a lot of sitting waiting for things to happen, and it's just not very rewarding.

Still a really interesting entry! Well done!

Developer

Thanks! :D

Its true, that some objects are not depending on custom screen size. Anyway, this is first ever feedback about screens, so now i 1000% understand that it looks weird on other screens.

Btw, is it allowed to update project during rating period? (i know noone can stop itchio user from that, but i want to participate honestly - firstly because its my first jam he he)

Yep! Absolutely fine to make updates after the fact for bug fixes and smaller tweaks! (Though we ask users to refrain from major content updates until after the rating period)
