You have a seriously great concept on your hands here. The puzzles were masterfully crafted to introduce concepts one at a time, and then challenging you to find the twist. I was really reminded of Snakebird throughout (which, judging by your seeming puzzle-creation expertise, you'll know is a compliment). I found the controls fairly intuitive, but I think a mouse control scheme could work even more intuitively (clicking and dragging on different parts of the loop to expand and contract). Seriously blown away by this, great job!
Awh, thanks so much for the kind words! (And yes, I am honored by the comparison to Snakebird)
We’ve actually discussed mouse controls, both during and after the jam! Turns out that although it initially seems more intuitive, there are edge cases where what action has to happen after doing a mouse-drag is not even well-defined! Turns out that playing with controls where you drag with the mouse actually gives you a slightly different game than if you control with a keyboard >:).
(We only fully realized what this means a few days after the jam, and the lack of mouse controls in the game is solely due to our personal priorities :))
Really great and creative puzzler! I think the puzzle idea is really clever and has the perfect difficulty level. I really liked how much I had to think on each level. You made some really great puzzle levels, the only suggestion i have is to maybe make it so that the player is always pointing outwards from the box, so the controls are never inverse. But overall great job making a fantastic puzzler and i would love to see a full release.
That’s a great suggestion and we did consider it, but unfortunately:

Thanks for playing our game! <3 (All credit for the great puzzles goes to @iDragon76)
Really unique mechanics. I like how creative you got with them. The depth to the puzzles and the necessary use of certain edge and corner cases to solve them was quite surprising. Very impressive.
Very nice game. Controls took a minute to get used to and to figure out I could go backwards/make myself smaller. Only managed to get past level 3 until the boxes/buttons combination became a bit too confusing/difficult. I only had a quick glance through the rest but do you need 20 levels for a game jam game? Would you be better off reducing that number and teaching the player mechanics in slightly larger levels instead?
Thanks! 🥰 Hehe yeah, the controls take a hot minute :).
20 levels is actually on the low side in this game mechanics’ potential! Turns out there’s a * lot * of edge cases in the mechanics that can cause all sorts of weird behavior - and the levels here do their best to explore them, but in this game jam we’re barely scratching the surface of what’s possible!
Just as an example (writing in ROT13 because spoilers):
All puzzles were designed by @iDragon76, and both of us enjoy playing difficult puzzle games, so our game caters mostly to that audience. :)
wow difficult but cool puzzle mechanic, took me a bit to get used to the controls and discover a few mechanics lol
will have to come back and see if I can finish the last few puzzles
Oooohhh!
How far did you get? 👀
first go around I think I had 11-12,14-20 left, so actually a bit more than a few haha
second go, I'm stuck on just 14 and 18, I think there's some mechanic/shape/idea I'm missing that are needed for those...
Just some notes about some of the puzzles (ROT13):
Had fun playing, thank you both for making the game! Definitely a lot of cool stuff you can do with these mechanics
