  • Your GDD describes perfectly what the game has, what it doesn't, and what it will yet receive. This game is very fun! It reminds me of old school flash games. It starts off simple enough to help players get the hang of the mechanics before evolving into some seriously cool puzzles. Some parts of it are not explained to the player well, such as that it's not explained to the player well that there's a timer while ricocheting, which caught me off guard the first time I took too long to pick a direction, and also it's not explained to the player they have to actually hit the circle on the target, which doesn't seem that relevant when trying to ricochet and not score. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and you have done a great job with this game. I hope to see you expand on this after the jam to add the functionality you mentioned was missing and I'd love to play more! Very good job!

Yes

Summarize your game!
Ricochet Range is a pixel-art game where you break targets across five levels. The targets can move, flip, and follow different paths, making each level feel dynamic and engaging. The game includes a start menu, a finished credits screen, and a clean visual style. Only the sound effects and music remain to be completed. The controls are simple: move your mouse and left-click to shoot/ricochet.

Please explain how your game fits the theme.
My game fits the theme because you have only one bullet, and you have to make use of that single bullet by ricocheting it from target to target—whereas it would normally be preferable to have multiple.

Nice job, a fun jam game! Kinda reminds me of those barrel-cannon sections in DKC games :)

Really short but fun game. It reminds me of some older mobile games I used to play on the iPod :D
