How does your game fit the theme?
An unexpected twist on the classic mobile Snake game where you need to close a "loop" with the snake's body, rather than avoid your tail as usual.

Really cool take on the classic retro snake, it deserves its name ! Some really nice puzzles ! Found the music a bit too repetitive at some point. Great work !

This is a neat idea! I wish it was clearer when your controls inverted but the puzzles were pretty fun!

Fun game! I love the presentation on the old phone. The monochrome display, retro music, and background ambience works well together to give the feeling of chilling at the park playing your phone's built in game. And contrasts nicely with the ominous noise on level completion. The inverted control levels were evil - especially since there was no obvious indication of them starting or ending. I like how you can change the colour of the phone's display. Great work!

I'm surprised how many people landed on the idea of an ouroboros. As well as this game and yours I've played https://m4ngodev.itch.io/ouroboros

Woah - this is great! The dead ends are killin’ me, though! The atmosphere is excellent!

very creative

i knew you were evil when the controls inverted, i almost cried

would be nice to know how many levels are waiting for me as the game progresses tho

Thanks for checking out the game! Honestly I just ran out of ideas for puzzles so I thought one or two inverted levels might be fun, I hope they didn't frustrate too much.

There are 10 Levels in total, if you got to the inverted ones you were almost at the end! I sort of liked the idea of the game being a little unpredictable, but maybe it would have helped people stick with it to know exactly how many levels were left.

UROBOROS!!! UHAHAHAHAH!

The idea is original, although I honestly didn't like the puzzles very much, but since I'm criticizing, I have to suggest something, for example, you could add a screen loop for the snake to the game, this would expand the possibilities of level design. You could also play with the idea that there is not one snake, but two, but they move on the same buttons with different controls. But these are just ideas, if you continue to make the game. Still, puzzles always take more time, since they require a lot of time for experiments.

By the way, why didn't you make the game available in the browser? I work in Godot myself and adding a browser version is not difficult. This is not a nitpick, I'm really interested, I just had a case when I used one plugin, and it was written in C#, so I could not build the project.

The game is not bad, although the levels are not finished. Thanks for the game!

Good luck in your endeavors!

Thank you for checking out the game.

I'm not a big puzzle guy, so I struggled with getting inspiration for the puzzles quite a bit. As you said, given time, iteration and a few more mechanics maybethey could have turned out more interesting.

I didn't export to Web since I went with the Forward+ renderer initially, which doesn't support web unfortunately. By the time I realized it would be smart to do a web version, it was already so late into the jam that I didn't have the time and will left to change it and see if it caused any issues.

Amazing stuff, Liked the old phone design and the 8 bit music and sound effects. Really added an enjoyment factor 👌 (Great name 😂)

Amazing execution of the concept! It's indeed very funny how similar yet different our games are 😂

Totally, it's pretty fun going through all the different ouroboroslikes! Seems like we made a little subgenre

good old classic fun, really enjoyed this even if indeed it is quite different from mine

I really like the fact of returning to the source of the Snake game but with this little personal touch which has its charm.

Ps: I allow you to place ads for my own game if you have some free time 🙏

I've seen this game idea a few times within the jam but this execution of it is quite charming.

i like the visual style calling back to the original snake as we all know it but with a personal flair to the art

Nice work!

(curse those little red herring apples that send me into a dead end!)
