It was really entertaining to watch the host play this game. I laughed out loud a couple of times.

The 3D was neat with the wobbling back and forth of the boat, and the physics to let the ingredients roll around. The slicing with the knife was very impressive. Someone in the cat pointed out the other hand being a hook (very clever).

The UI and menu set up was very clear. I did struggle a bit with the controls at first, and would worry less persistent players would give up quicker.

The sea shanty music was a nice touch. Although hearing the same sea shanty every day at work, the chef may go insane and jump off the boat! :)

This game was a hoot! It was hilarious how you'd accidentally slap your onion half way across the kitchen. I loved the concept and the execution. The only thing that was a bit annoying was that the knife could end up sliding across the table where you couldn't reach it. The first time this happened I had never used the knife and didn't realize it wasn't supposed to be at the end of the table out of reach. The next time I played I tried to keep it close, but it slides into other things and can end up where you can't reach it. It would be nice if you could put the knife and the salt shaker somewhere where you know you can get to them. Everything else doesn't matter because you can just grab another from the basket.

Other than this annoyance, it was excellent! I only had the patience for about 8 menu items and then it's just a bit too difficult and tedious for me to continue playing. If that makes sense.

Well done!

Watching Zack's stream and realized the onion makes you blind! You guys polished the heck out of this! Also, his knife didn't get stuck at the far side of the table. I wonder why mine did? Either way, great game. I could totally see this as a streamer game. I liked Zack's idea of multiplayer too!

Thanks for your comment! The onion thing happened to me one day while I was cooking irl, and I thought, this HAD to make it - screw priorities :)

Just as in life, it's the little things that make the difference. You guys put in a lot of little things. Zack pointed out the cutting of the mesh and that was awesome too. Was that Unity? I forget.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, it's a Unity project. Marev did the mesh cutting and tried several approaches. Glad he could find a working one in the end, that "made the cut" :)

Love the theme! Music and the hook on the rail also makes sense thematically. Great tutorial and great idea, the only thing holding this back is are two things: the ability to move the arm forward and backward (could just use W and S so that mouse controls up/down/left/right), as well as having some core items be accidentally tossed into a completely inaccessible spot. I think you already have some invisible walls set up so probably just need a bit of refining there.

Oh and I got my hand stuck in the pot multiple times haha. But I had a great time nonetheless! I could only beat the first level - as soon as it got to the second and I had to cut ingredients and the knife flew off the table I gave up

literal lols while im playing.

I really value creativity and I love the concept you came up with.

The controls were fun, unique and challenging, somehow almost making me feel disoriented in a good way.

It was a little buggy(things getting stuck in baskets, salt not being able to be picked up).

Super cool, felt like a single player party game.

Developer

Thanks for your kind words! Did you beat it?

Submitted

I did not beat it. I played three times and timed out each time. When watching the stream today I couldnt believe how fast Zachavelli got good... it was hard for me. I have never really played anything like it

Very fun control scheme. Caught me off-guard, lol.

Messes were made. I struggled to control the arm on my trackball mouse though. That's mostly a me problem, lol.

I did have some audio glitches. Not sure what caused it. But overall fun game.

Developer

Thanks! I wanted to use FMOD for this game, turns out it doesn't play too well with WebGL if you don't know what to optimize for. So I guess that's what caused the audio glitches.

I really liked how this set the scene, gives a bit of narrative to show what it's about. Nice walkthrough of the controls and gameplay when you start.

The controls were a bit challenging. A lot of the time I had a hard time controlling where the hand went. I think that could use a bit more work or made easier to use, and then it could be balanced out by making the shaking/environment a bit more intense.

Overall really nice submission.

Arr! The arm gets stuck all the time, otherwise the game is pretty fun! Everything looks, feels and sounds cohesive. I accidentally cut so small pieces of an ingredient, that the portions were hard to see, but it wasn't a problem. The hook attached to the rail is a nice touch.

Heya really loved this game!

The controls were a bit confusing to me in the beginning but it came clear in my 2nd try! Really love the idea of this game and the music is a good vibe! :)

Amazing work!
