How does your game fit the theme?
The game reflects "Loop" through narrative repetition and emotional cycles. No matter what choices the player makes, they remain trapped in a looping psychological space — escaping or surrendering, the path circles back, with subtle shifts each time.

Good, especially if its a first game. Level design was cool, commitment to one art direction and good use of sprites. The antagonist was well done really helped to keep me engaged. Sound effects were really good, music a lil repetitive in my opinion. I think the collision box for the obstacles was a bit too large but still enjoyable. I might recommend zooming out the camera/ lowering its y pos if your gonna have the player need to drop down. Played to end. My actual entry if your interested /jam/gmtk-2025/rate/3776541
P.S. Ehh I still want those coins though.
Hahahahaha! Thanks a ton for your comments and feedback — super helpful! Your notes on the trap hitboxes and the drop-camera are spot-on; I’ll tweak those after the jam and upload an updated build.
I also played and rated your game — absolutely loved it. The art style is stellar, and that midline split between two spaces in 2D is such a clever, striking idea. It instantly made me think of those tense split-screen moments in films and animation. Fantastic work, and thanks again! 🙏
The player collision needs a little work but overall the graphics and the story were pretty good. Keep doing what you do!
Thanks so much for your feedback — it’s a huge encouragement for us! You’re totally right that the collision needs more fine-tuning and testing, and I’ll work on improving that after the jam.
I also played your game — it’s fantastic! I was genuinely amazed at how a level that looks identical could deliver so many fresh and interesting gameplay ideas through movement, space, and elements that were actually already present in the first level. By the time I got to level three, it felt like I was trying to control a car skidding on ice — in the best way possible, hahaha. Your game gave me so much inspiration in terms of gameplay design, and I really enjoyed it!
lame
Bro...
Loved the art and the narrative however the controls felt slightly janky and unpredictable, looked great tho!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed the art and story, and I really appreciate you pointing out the control issue. I’ll definitely look into fixing that bug and improving the experience!
The art and the audio isn't quite there but the narration and the atmosphere are top notch, I loved it !
Thank you so much for your thoughtful words 🙏
We poured a lot into shaping the narrative flow, so it means a lot that it resonated with you. As for the art and audio — we’re still figuring out how to give them the care they deserve. It’s all a learning process, and your perspective helps more than you know. Thanks again for playing and sharing your thoughts!
Sweet little game with a meaning that was deeper than I expected. length to finish, and ofc I broke the loop at the end no matter how much he asked me haha
Great job over all! Also really liked the sound design for the dialogue, really adds a lot to the game.
Thank you so much for playing and for your kind words — it truly means a lot to us!
This was the first complete game my teammate and I have ever made, and we were really working at the edge of our technical abilities.
That’s why we focused all our effort on making the story and experience as tight and coherent as possible within our limitations.
We're so glad it resonated with you!
