yeah dude that was awesome, really cool concept to stand in the shoes of the rest of the party. really cool idea. only thing i'd say is about the weapon swing sound effects, i'd limit it to be more in line with the animations, like oneper swing and then it tells you its swung or whatever, you know what i mean. i only mention because i'm a spammer and i had no connection with the character's 'tempo' or like, swing cooldowns - really really cool game though, you got HEAPS done and the vibe was immaculate even with no music. really loved the coin dash too!
Yeah, I noticed that the sound effect played anytime you clicked and not when the sword swung (it didn't swing again until the animation was complete) I didn't think it was much of a problem (especially with maybe 5 hours left in the jam), and I just got around it by not spamming. But I can totally see how a spammer could get disconnected with the attacks when the sfx is playing, but you aren't swinging. I am thrilled that you liked the overall concept and the coin dash!
A really fun action game, controls well, and the coin-dash in particular is a very original and fun to use mechanic. I would just add a condition that the player must defeat all enemies before entering the next room, so that one cannot just run past the enemies. Well done!
Im really glad you enjoyed it!
Great loop interpretration
Glad you liked it!
Nice interpretation of the jam topic! I allowed myself a little roleplay and decided to be a lazy hero, I just rushed through the enemies haha :D But I still liked the moral at the end. Nice job!
I'm glad you liked the moral at the end! I like the little role-play you did, lol. Maybe in a future version of the game, something I (obviously) don't allow you to do is just run to the end normally, but maybe there's a lazy setting or something that allows you to just run by everything, lol.
Very charming, nice work!
Thank you :)
Goblin is 10/10) TA-TA-TA-TA ))
Very fun to play game!
LMAO thanks!
Goblin is my favorite part as well!
Wow i tghought that making game like this in five days is impossible. But Sword sounds are buggy. sound is playing every time i click LMB
Yes it does whoops!
Good joob!
thnx
I like how there were many action rpg systems implemented, the story and art. But to me it lacked a challenge, I could finish this by just running past the same 3 levels 3 times, healing to full life after every room. Good job on this game!
Thanks! I usually find that I struggle with trying to make a game that's the right amount of difficulty. Sometimes I feel my games are too easy or too hard. But it's just something I gotta continue working on in the future!
Cool Game, really enjoyed the goblin part
Thank you!
Cool Game, really enjoyed the goblin part
Hey this is an extremely fun idea and an excellent jam entry. The sound effects were goofy and fun, the spritework and colors were enjoyable to look at. Great work!
SPOILER ALERT FELLAS - - - you dont have to fight anything if you dont want to. Pacifist run is possible.
Ahhh, yes, the accidental oversight was actually intended the whole time to give the message more meaning LMAO. I'm really happy you liked the spritework. I think I spent too much time working on it and worrying about it, so I'm glad it turned out all right.
I've spammed the heck of the goblin dash! I also did not expect cutscenes! Nice job!
Thank you! I'm really happy with how the goblin dash turned out!
It's cool, the archer part is a bit boring, but I had so much fun at the dagger part, I would play that part over and over again
Yes, the dagger part with the goblin is probably my favorite section as well!
I love the colors and the game feels great! It is a bit static and you can just skip the enemies and walk to the end..
Had the same experience, ended up just running through it.
Yeah, being able to run past enemies was a bit of an oversight lol. I caught myself doing it while playtesting earlier, but didn't have time to implement something that forced you to fight. However, I'm glad that you liked how the game felt!
