How does your game fit the theme?
About LOOP (Recommended to read post-completion) Loops are the law of the world. Some are trapped in time, some in obsession, and an entire era is trapped in its own reflection. When we discovered this exciting theme, we wanted to use the game to express our thoughts about humanity struggling in a time that keeps repeating itself. Eri's Loop: the never-ending “Izayoi” She died at the most beautiful moment of the bubble. Her soul was nailed to that night—the moon not quite waning, the prosperity not yet extinguished. Shouya's Loop: the curse of obsession In the endless repetition of actions, he is forever trapped in his memories and obsessions. The economic Loop: the bubble never dissipates In the 1980s, everyone in Japan believed that prosperity would last forever. Humans never truly awaken— A new bubble is brewing, a new “Eri” is being born. The economy will recover, the frenzy will reignite, the collapse will come again. History does not repeat itself, but it rhymes. Eri, trapped in the youthful days of beauty. Shouya, trapped in his obsessions. And the economic cycle, endlessly collapsing and reviving— While we, in the torrent of the times, can only be carried along. The economy will recover, the frenzy will reignite, the collapse will come again. History does not repeat itself, but it rhymes.

A very profound story, and the art is also very complete! Looking forward to the subsequent development

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback — we're really happy you enjoyed the game!

Very fun game, didnt get the whole story, but enjoyable experience nevertheless.

Developer

Thanks a lot for the feedback! Is there any part of the story you didn’t quite get? I’d be glad to help explain, and we’ll also try to improve those dialogues going forward.

No the game was good, Im just too dumb to understand lol.

Developer

Ohh let me make the explaination for the story haha
Story Summary:
You receive a mysterious letter from Shouya, who asks for your help as a detective to find Eri Tsukishima, a missing girl. He provides a set of photographs as clues — but something is off. In each era, Eri looks exactly the same, untouched by time.

As your investigation deepens, you uncover traces of a serial killing case, cult rituals about reviving loved ones, and eerie footage of Shouya desperately seeking Eri in the media.

In Chapter 2, the perspective shifts — you become Eri. Each version of her, in different timelines, is brutally murdered by Shouya.

Chapter 3 conceals certain truths. You learn Shoyua once turned to a cult in hopes of reviving Eri. But eventually, he comes to believe that Eri’s soul is reincarnating endlessly into innocent girls… and that by killing them, he is "freeing" Eri.

The ending is left open. Is Shoya a delusional killer, trapped in madness and grief? Or… is Eri truly trapped in a loop of rebirth, cursed to return again and again?

Themes of Loop:

Eri’s Loop::The Beautiful Tmes Never Fades

She died at the peak of her youth — the most beautiful moment. Her soul was pinned to that endless night. The moon wanes but never disappears; the lights dim but never fade. She dies again and again, but is never truly gone. As long as someone remembers that golden age, as long as someone is consumed by desire... Eri Tsukishima will return.

Shouya’s Loop: The Curse of the Cleaner

Each time he “cleanses” one Eri, he meets a more twisted version of her in the next loop. Once a man on a mission to purge Eri’s echoes, he now questions— Has he become the monster himself?

The Economic Loop: The Bubble That Never Bursts

In 1980s Japan, people believed the boom would never end. But humanity never truly wakes up— New bubbles are always brewing. New “Eris” are always being born. The economy will rise again. The frenzy will return. The collapse will repeat. History doesn’t repeat, but it rhymes.

I love the narrative! Unfortunately, I'm too dense to get it or to solve the mystery but I enjoyed it just the same

Developer

Really appreciate the feedback! We didn’t get to finish the UI because of the short dev time — maybe more hints would’ve helped make the story clearer.

Developer

Would you mind telling us which part of the puzzle you couldn’t solve? We’d love to tweak and improve that part of the experience :D

Oh no its just the final question where you're supposed to type where Eri is, I had no clue. Probably bc I'm just bad at the game :)

Developer

In this part, we want to break the fourth wall — the player is actually playing as the detective, and any interpretation is okay haha

From Designer perspective, we wanna ask players:

Is Shouya a delusional killer, trapped in madness and grief? Or… is Eri truly trapped in a loop of rebirth, cursed to return again and again?

The narrative is really intriguing,  but the chase sequences relys too much on trial-and-error, which is a bit frustrating

Developer

Thank you very much for the feedback! We will give players more opportunities to escape using their own skills by changing the monsters’ speed and adjusting the positions of the tables.
