How does your game fit the theme?
in this game you control a looping assortment of different dungeoneers. After each completion of the task, the game starts over in the same dungeon level, thus loops, however this time the dungeon bears marks of your previous actions.

Very nice presentation, but it was really hard to understand especially the objective and what the different letters in the level mean/do. Some sort of tutorial or at least a cheatsheet with a simple description for each would have gone a long way imo

LOVE the ASCII art style especially the lighting changes as you move around the dungeon and the mechanics it was so unique (ive seen a lot of very similar games so far this jam) which was nice. i think better instructions are a must as it got a bit confusing and i wasnt sure exactly what the different letters did at first but with some trial and error the game became very fun!

if you have the time i'd really appreciate some feedback on my game too, its my first game jam and im trying to get better! /jam/gmtk-2025/rate/3780834

Cool! Thanks for the kind words and for sticking with it to figure the game out a bit :) i know it is confusing at the start...

I will definently check your game out Pjgiraffe!

Really original game, I can really tell a lot of effort went to it but I clearly didn’t understand everything. I feel like it’s quite complex for a jam game. Still, with a better tutorial I think this has potential. I also appreciate the game being entirely ASCII

Thank you for playing! Hear you loud and clear on the confusion.

It's packed with alot of interactivity between different entity types, it's one of the more complicated jam games I've ever made :)

Pretty cool game, really liked the audio. It was a little confusing at times and I wasn't a 100% sure what the game was asking me to do. I wish that holding down a key made you keep going in that direction, given the dungeon sizes, pressing the key each time got a little tiring.

I had the hold to keep moving on the todo list but due to time constraints it was missed... i agree with you that it's a missing feature for sure.

Thanks for checking the game out anonsh!

As a Dwarf Fortress enthusiast I'm a sucker for an ASCII game. Looks great, nice font choice. My first couple attempts I did not understand the abilities at all, but I eventually understood the assignment and racked up an impressive 10 points.

Nice job!
