A literal die and retry
The water movement on the bodies make it sometimes a bit hard
no no that poor cat
music got a little annoying but other wise a great game!
Seen similar ideas a few times, but this was by far the most stylish and polished. very well done!

This was like, instantly fun to play as I turned it on, which is quite a rare thing. The artwork is also very nice. However, one of the double water levels was too hard for me so I gave up!! Maybe I'm just not very good haha.
Thanks for playing! That is one of the more challenging levels, but there are a few ways people seem to approach it.
You need to set a "boat" in the 2nd pond and then get back to it quickly. Some ways are:
10/10 loved it. The little paws sinking in the acid, so sadistic and yet so cute. Also thank you for leaving one cat in the last level as a mess up, really needed that. Great great game :3

That’s a nice game! The art is really cute and the levels are quite balanced. I liked the acid that added the time element into the gameplay. After some point the mechanic required more parkour than thinking, but I still enjoyed it a lot! Beat the whole game, it was incredibly fun! Well done :D

Probably the most thematic use of the "platformer with time loop" genre for this jam! Had a lot of fun - last level is hard though, had to retry a few times. Did not get to play with music, even with refreshes...
Sorry about the music - it's a shame that it doesn't seem to work in the browser constantly. I'll be sure to fix it first thing when the jam closes.

Congrats on your first game, it was fun. Using a cat and nine lives was a creative use of the theme,,and having your goal be a box was a delightful design choice. It would have been nice if there had been an onscreen indication of your level, to make it easier to know how far you had gotten.

It's nice that you have 9 lieves. The graphics and sounds are cute. I unfortunately got stuck at one level where there are two pools of water next to each other. I couldn't figure out how to get over them without repeatedly dying. But good game!~
this is a fun game and a very creative take on this death loop mechanic. i enjooy that 9 live limit. excellent art and audio! purrrrty good
I really enjoyed playing this! The audio design is fantastic and adds a lot to the overall atmosphere. The difficulty scales nicely, keeping things challenging without being frustrating. I also really liked the simple but effective art style. It fits the game well.
The core gameplay is super fun and addictive, and the mechanic of using your previous lives to your advantage is a clever twist that ties nicely into the theme.
A few suggestions: a tutorial level or short introduction at the beginning would help players ease into the mechanics instead of having to figure everything out through trial and error. I also found myself wishing for a pause menu with some basic settings options. At a couple points I got stuck and had to reset the entire game, so having a player HUD with a respawn option as well as a few other items would really be a great improvement.
Overall, really solid work!

Nice take on death loops! I really liked the limit on the number of lives, it made each individual loop much more engaging and meaningful.
I love everything about this game, it's so cute especially the goal being for the cat to get in the box
