Found the game fun!

I just smiled when saw premise of the game. This is so great spin on the theme. Firstly I got wrecked by enemies, but during second run I could finally save the city once and for all (maybe in few hundred years someone will try something more). Congrats!

What a great game jam game! The first battle I was very outmatched, but the second and third battle I won :D It does look like there are some scaling issues, because a quite some fighting took place off-screen on the right. But in general, nice gameplay mechanics, funny artwork, nice sense of humor, and the final 'plottwist' made me laugh.

Congratulations on a great submission!

Interesting take on the theme and clever narrative! The game reminds me of tabs

Age of war's spiritual successor

Loved the narrative that this game brought, it's a really creative use of the jam theme! The gameplay was intuitive, although it was harder than I was expecting and I ended up losing 2/3 battles. I did encounter a bug where I had a unit (a cannon in the second battle) waltz through the enemy and attack their base directly, completely immune to all of the attacking enemies. It was quite amusing though, and probably the only reason I won that battle. Overall a fun game!

This was a funny narrative, a nice metaphorical look at the game jam theme!

I recommend giving the combat more impact, visually and with sfx one attack/damage.

Nice entry!

Good job FishFinsMertz on submitting this game to the jam. Nice story, excellent artwork and sound! I especially liked that the game is not too easy and one  really has to think to be able to defeat the enemy. The conecpt works perfectly.

Keep up the good work!

Oh i kept resetting the first battle ^^ Very funny idea, well done!

This was super cool and fun! Great idea with the theme too! I think better effects and animations would go a long way, as well as some quality of life issues where you can pick levels or skip through some of the waiting screens faster.

The art and the combat were very smooth! I like the narrative behind it. Good job!

Amazing game! Love the music choice, would be cool if there was different music for different generations though. The art is really funny so 5 stars for that, and love the story too, loops really well. Amazing game,  do not stop cooking! 🔥
