How does your game fit the theme?
Our team built on the idea of a creatures lifespan being a loop. The character in our game is stuck in a loop of attempts to escape a laboratory. As the loops progress the character upgrades his abilities until they are ultimately successful and can begin a different type of "Life Cycle".

I liked it :)) a bit addictive, always wanted to retry. It's cozy and cute, love the idea :)) (the format is a bit weird but it's ok)
Pretty unique the way you implemented the theme and gameplay loop was also interesting. Overall good job and best of luck for the future jams!
i love this interpretation of loops. play more loops, get access to more rooms, get upgrades and repeat. love the artwork too!
This is well on it's way to being really cool. Also I noticed you also chose Life Cycle as a title. Nice lol
Glad you enjoyed the game! As for the similar name, I guess great minds think alike!
I guess so!
I really like the concept, but the game lacks cohesiveness, it's more like a prototype. What purpose does the timer serve? But hey, nice demo if you are unexperienced. Some polishing, more levels and it could be really nice.
Thanks for playing our game! This was our first Game Jam and we were really only aiming for a proof of concept.
The idea of the timer was to add a somewhat frantic element to the exploration and platforming, due to time constraints we just weren't able to implement a map complex enough to fully engage with this concept. If you are interested in a more fleshed out version of this concept I recommend you take a look at the game that inspired this project called "Johnny Upgrade".
