How does your game fit the theme?
Caves are known to be tricky and you may start going in a "loop" if you just wander with no clue .

The artstyle is amazing ! Gameplay wise, i would've loved the torch to extend the visibility zone. I also got stuck a lot unfortunately, but the core idea is nice :D
Creative game i liked it
Cool idea makes a fun game!
Please rate my game!
I liked the atmosphere. The idea could use some work since it wasn't too interesting to wander through the cave. I ended up getting stuck, unable to escape which didn't feel fun. Maybe a narrative can be added while you traverse the cave and you can introduce mechanics that reinforce the story.
I actually thought about adding small sort of text all over the cave like just to add some depth to the game , like a text somewhere telling "hey wow that's your second time passing by here" but it seemed like they would defeat the purpose of the torches , but thinking about it right now i should have added them
maybe u could be able to pass to the next text on the intro, or just have a way to walk into the cave and the text being displayed while u move. great character design!
Very atmospheric. I also liked the character art a lot. Collecting the power-ups and frantically looking around for the way forward was fun.
Really cool concept and I very much enjoyed playing
Couldn't quite figure out how to get out of the hole i fell in, also the intro was very long. Interesting entry for sure but a bit confusing
im agree with this guys , intro is tooooooo long
Love the idea for the game. Puting down torches to not get lost in the cave sounds fun. Unfortunately I got stuck in somwhere i could not get out of. I would have tried again had the intro cutscene been so long. Maybe there was a way to skip that i did not see.
I fell in a hole in the dark and got stuck. Accurate cave diving simulator.
I love the visual style, but between a few times getting stuck and the slow intro I was unable to find my way and got lost in the dark.
If you get stuck I think you can just keep going to the left until you find your way out
Anyways thanks for playing my game very appreciated !
Great use of shaders. Very atmospheric in combination with the music. The intro text boxes takes a bit too long. I actually thought the game crashed because nothing happend. Some indication where to go would be nice. I felt lost and not sure if I do it right.
I didn't playtest the game so I can't tell you much maybe my game is not balenced lmao
Thank you so much for your feedback and for playing my game !
My only complaint is the movement. It feels like the values for it, especially jump height, are very low. Other than that, good game.
Thank you !
Feels more like going through a random maze more than anything, I also got stuck somewhere after a while. While I can understand how it fits the theme for loops, it's really not that great... Wandering around a maze could be made fun, but here it just feels like you slapped some tiles on a world and called it a day with only one exit. Power ups are not really that useful if they last not more than 10 seconds. Also the movement is really not that great, it's just basic left/right, jump movement and feels to stiff and slow. I'm not trying to discourage you here but you should definitely try having a bit more reflection on how others will feel playing the game! Remember you're trying to make a game to have fun (in some way), so if that's not acquired than the game will just feel boring. I like the idea of exploring a cave, but the execution was terrible.
First thank you so much for playing my game , actually i just made this to join the GMTK game jam and i used an engine im not well experienced with , godot engine , so i had to learn it pretty much from 0 in a short time span , great feedback from your side and it is really helpful to be honest , one thing that may help you is that when you get close to the exit you hear a song playing or the volume of the main theme would decrease depending on how close you are .
I got stuck in a pit for my first play through, felt really unfair
It feels like I made a rage game
Hee-Ho. Interesting game. Very cool art. But hard to understand where you are
I mean that's the point of the game , but torches should help you i guess ?
