Smart take on the theme. The orbits get pretty mesmerizing after a while!
Great job!
Very cool! I didn't realize that the selected planet mattered for where the new orbit is created initially, but I realized how neat this concept is after discovering that! The funny, brief descriptions of the types of planet add a nice charm to the game too :)
I think a parallax effect on the background stars would be really nice when dragging the screen view around!
I'm not sure how the speed of the newly added planet is determined when you buy it... It seemed like some orbited at a normal pace, but some were very slow or not moving at all. I was worried I had placed them in a "bad" spot initially, because points are awarded per orbit, but they seem to award points regularly despite not having moved much in their orbit, so it's probably a visual bug.
I think the pseudo-chaotic motion of planets nested in several layers of orbits is the most interesting part of this game for sure! I'd love to see something like an area-based buff that you can buy (like a static nebula or something) that encourages you to try to make wild geometric patterns of orbits to make strong planets pass through or stay within a particular global space more often. Or even to buy if you *notice* that your wild solar system makes a particular planet stay almost still relative to the sun. This could give some deeper strategy to the structure of the solar system, beyond what you already have with the "inner orbit" multiplier!
Thanks for the extensive feedback.
The speed of all Planets is actually fixed, just the direction of the rotation is random. As far as I know, there are no bugs related to the movement, but it just looks like some Planets aren't really moving because of the relative movement of their "parent".
I already had some ideas on getting more depth into the gameplay, for example having Planets with unique effects which could combo with other certain planet-types. And having multiple suns, also with their own stats and effects.
Maybe I'll come back to this game some time and expand it.
Nice concept! We made a game with a similar orbiting theme. I love how it builds up fast the more you play, I just wish the beginning had a little more momentum to get to purchasing the 2nd and 3rd planets
Very cool and addicting concept! There wasn't any audio for me so I think music and sfx would really elevate the experience. I would love to see this developed even further in the future!
Lovely game, I think my favorite Idle Game of this Game Jam, but I am also a sucker for anything space and planets :D nice work!
Minor feedback: It can be hard to select planets if they are just zooming through space
Great game! Really good concept! Fun to build your ownd universe!!
Wow this got pretty hectic pretty fast, I really enjoyed it! I think you could have simplified the HUD quite a bit but you did choose a readable font unlike some submissions lol So nice work! It felt pretty polished and well thought out. Great job!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
Very cool theme for an idle game! And creative take on the theme. One minor feedback would be to have less text on screen (for example, you could have an icon (*) representing Solar points, and showing (*) 1000 on screen instead of writing the text Solar points). Great game!
I was expecting trouble when planets would collide, and a bit disappointed when there was none. ;-)
Supern addictive game and i always appreciate a Star wars refference haha
Super fun setting/concept for a clicker. Very on-point for the theme. I loved the orbit-ception mechanic, that was a nice touch.
Very addicting idle game.
Love how crazy it can get when orbiting so many planets and the really love the background art. Has a very cool visual style.
cool game with creative idea. you can add remove planets so the player can make it more clean to play
Very creative take on an idle game! Crazy how off the rails it can get after a while :p
Was really nice to have on my other screen and keeping coming back to to check up on! Super chill vibes, I'm all for it! Nice work!
I sure love fourier series.
Kinda wish there was a pause orbits button to make selecting the faster planets easier.
Talk about a "3 body problem"!
This is surprisingly fun. Good job.
a polished little idle game, super fun! only criticism is that the early pacing is a bit slow, but great job overall!
If you don't mind, please consider rating my game as well :)
Super enjoyable idle game. I loved the mechanic of the nested orbits though it did seem to bug out after a bit more planets. I liked it a lot, good job!
