How does your game fit the theme?
The core mechanic of the game is that the player can make looping clones/recordings of himself

Very cool.
The cloning mechanic was a bit confusing at first, also i didn't notice the "clones left" sign at first :D
I'd love to see more levels coming
Though something signalizing which levels i completed would be great.
And maybe an autoplay feature.

What did you find confusing and what would you change so it wouldn’t be so confusing? And what do you mean by autoplay?

I was first confused what is me and what is the clone, and why does my old self move in loops, though, when i figured it out, it made sense.
Idk, something just clicked.
By autoplay i mean, that after completing level 1, it would automatically start level 2 and so on.

WOW!!!! How does this have 0 comments?? This is one of my favourite entries from this jam. And it's your first ever game??

Just to be sure, you didn't use AI at any point during the development of this game, did you? If you came up with all that by yourselves in 48 hours, this is seriously incredible! Good job!

Also, you could play into the “loop” aspect more by having the clones repeat very short sequences of actions, like going around in a circle, while the player puts boxes to push in its way or something.

If this is your first ever game and you didn't use AI, I highly encourage you to make more games, you have some talent!

edit: i'm stupid, i missed the “no ai” tag

Thanks!!

It’s not like my first first game, but game that was somewhat releasable to public.

If you make a clone after a few steps, the “recording” should loop itself.

I mean I would be screwed without my friend Veejay, he did all the graphics and I only the coding.

And one more time thanks a lot!

Ty for making a linux build! It would be nice to have it marked as executable by default though.

UI is a little tiny. I liked the tutorial text - you might want to consider using a font with ligatures though because the default arrows look a little weird.

The clone mechanic was confusing but really cool! Overall I really liked this, it reminds me of the game I made for last year’s jam somewhat too :)

The linux bulid is nice
you  can always try using wine, but it's not guaranteed to work
