Really fun, I like the artstyle and the sound for hitting imps was satisfying, music is great too. would love more feedback for taking damage. The floating islands in the background add a lot to the atmosphere. Well done!

Thanks for playing the game and giving me feedback! Yes, unfortunately I missed some points that could improve the gameplay. I think I can finish it a little later.

Fun game and i liked the way the curses cycled. I did die pretty much instantly choosing the 10 nails for 5hp.

Addictive, fun, and very impressive for a solo project. Good mix of strategy and shooting imps

Really addictive game, good job. The vibes remind me of Doom and that's probably not coincidental. :D

I must say I didn't really understand how nails work and when they replenish, and I even had a bug where they constantly switched between 0 and 10 on a whim. It also gets a bit annoying when an enemy spawns right on your path (I guess RNG).

But! This was highly enjoyable. I especially like how the projectiles have travel time. :)

Great entry!

Thanks for playing the game and for the great feedback! Indeed, there is a problem with bugs that I hope to fix. You made a valid point about the enemy spawning, it worries me too, I will try to do it differently. Thanks again!

very good game gg

Thank you!!

This was the best game I played so far! Played a few times until I got 87 loops. The core loop of killing zombies and staying alive was fun, but I think the upgrades are a bit confusing. There are cards that seem pretty bad and some that are OK. The ones that take HP seem too difficult. Maybe you could try making cards that switch guns and adds combo abilities (e.g. a gun that makes the next shot 10x strength). But again, well done!

Developer

Wow! That's quite a lot of cycles! Thanks for playing and for the great feedback! According to the concept, all curses should have a negative effect that makes the game more difficult, and not all of them give something useful instead. The most important thing is to make the right choice based on the current list of curses already collected. You have an interesting idea - to give different weapons or better shots, but for this I first need to create a system of correct card drop, based not on chance, but on the current situation, otherwise instead of difficult game, the player may become over imbalanced.

I liked the BGM a lot in this, the music was super memorable. The narrative was strong and compelling, in that I, too, would commit heinous hell acts if I woke up anywhere without coffee, and the VFX had a whole lot of style and panache. Strong showing!

Very cool game, can we be friends? trying to make connections with people with the same taste as mine...
i have discord

Really cool concept! The curse loop adds great replay value, and the art/music vibes are top-notch. Some curses feel unbalanced (ammo drain especially), and movement can be a bit floaty. But overall, super fun and full of potential — would love to see a more polished version with more content. Great job

Fun game! the curse does give a lot of replay value. the style very nice!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! It's great to hear that you liked it!

I loved the music! The game is interesting too, but I haven't quite understood it. I felt the movement and aiming a bit floaty. The art is great too! Congrats

So, great game, the fact that you "choose" and create the loop is really interesting. When you walk on curse while firing (spawning on you or just in front of you when running), it automatically choses the curse and that was a bit frustrating some times. To me, the audio is a really good fit. With a bit of polish, especially for the visuals, it could be even better. Anyway, really great job!

Really fun game! Gameplay is snappy! Art and vibes are top! The idea of creating your own loop with the cards is neat! With a more complete version it could become something really interesting!

Developer

Thank you for playing the game! And thank you very much for your feedback and support!!

This is so sick! I kept playing and the game started to be so fun! I especially love the curse where the ground moves. I like the Risk of Rain 2 sort of art and feel! This game is sick! Amazing!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing my game and for your feedback!!! I also like Risk of Rain 2, I was hoping it would have a similar vibe!

Submitted(+1)

neat game! Unfortunately I sometimes felt a little lost on what was happening and where I was shot from (but then again, its a game jam!!) I could see that this could take a great direction with more and more content!

Developer

Thanks for playing and for the feedback! Yes, there are some issues with the balance and information about where the danger comes from. I think I can fix that.

Submitted(+1)

Really cool direction on loop, lots of potential for this to be explored further past the gamejam. The artstyle was really nice and the music was great.  It definitely gets tough really quick, especially with all the ammo draining curses. Had a few runs where I was getting about 6-7 nails to shoot before waiting for a reload due to the frequency of ammo draining curses.

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for your feedback! I agree, there are some balance issues. I think the problem is too much randomness. I have an idea how to develop a system where the player will be given curses in a better sequence. But for now, I'm more interested in whether the concept has the right to life using such loops. I would really like to develop this idea further.

Submitted(+1)

This was really neat!  I liked the core idea of applying a looping series of conditions that you yourself can add to! I do think it could use a little more refinement, as I found myself running out of ammo constantly even if I dumped all of my curses in nail increases. I also want to commend the art direction, I haven't seen a game that looks like this one, and I think the scratchy pixel models add a lot of charm! Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for playing the game and the feedback! I completely agree, I also noticed some problematic points with the balance. One of the key problems now is the completely random drop of curses. Maybe they should be split into different categories and given to the player gradually. Because now it is easy to ruin the game with the wrong choice based on random :/

Yo ! I love the art style for real ! The minimalist map reminds me of devils dagger in a way, and the gameplay is cool, in 3 days i'm really blown away ! :D

Developer

Thanks for playing the game and for your feedback! Unfortunately, I haven't played devils dagger, but thanks for this comparison. I think it would be useful to research it!

I love the art and style. The concept is fun, a bit more content would go a long way but who has time for that.

Enjoyable game, only critiques are that there seems to be a bug where I randomly face the sky or floor when I spawn in, and the transitions between menu, game, and back are too slow for a game where you want to go to the menu to upgrade andthen keep going. Oh and it would be nice if you could right click an upgrade to put in enough to upgrade it instead of having to click over and over.

Great job, you deserve more reviews!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback and advice!!! I completely agree about the transitions. Do you think it would be better to divide the game into several levels (like Risk of Rain) and make improvements between these levels, rather than in the main menu?

Submitted(+1)

It would be very fun to have RoR style progression through maps (with variation in enemies and terrain) through to an end boss. If you reset the curses on the between maps it might feel bad, as some of the fun of these types of games (imo) is getting a powerful build going and seeing how far you can push yourself (and the game engine). You could maybe have an "endless" mode, or a post-game map that goes on forever (after an end-boss or some such).

A lot to consider, but I think you could make a very fun full game out of this!

Developer

This does make sense, I think you're right about the curses accumulating between levels. However, I would add maybe some tools to edit the loop during the game, maybe as a reward for killing the boss of the level. Of course, within the limits of not breaking the balance of the game. And maybe there should be curses that work a set number of times and then automatically remove themselves from the list, that way I could control some events better (like the spawn of the final boss or a portal to another level)

Submitted(+1)

the art is reaaaaally cool and really impressive for such a short time. The game feel was really good. I just really suck at this game, I wasn't sure what to do. I also fell down a cliff I didn't see and on my way down, got stuck in the wall hahaha.

Developer

Thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to make a tutorial for the game and adjust the balance to make it easier at the beginning. But I already have ideas on how to do it if people are interested

Submitted(+1)

I definitely think there's potential for this project! Looking forward to see how it develops in the future!

By the way, it would be really cool if you can also rate our game!
