How does your game fit the theme?
Deathloop: In this time-limited maze game, each run gives you a set amount of time before you die. When you die, you leave behind a soul that extends the timer on your next attempt. The more you die, the more time you gain in future runs—allowing you to push deeper into the maze with each loop.

cool game i loved the ghost mechanics (ill be honest i didnt read the instructions so i cant blame you that i didnt fully understand it lol). there was a bug phasing through one of the walls near the start but im not complaining it helped a lot :)

if you have time, id really appreciate it if you could give me some feedback on my game (/jam/gmtk-2025/rate/3780834) - its my first game jam and im looking to get better!

Thanks for playing!  Haha I'll look for the broken wall, well spotted :)  Congrats on your first jam!

Cool game! I like the art-style! It was a little annoying that you had to start the entire maze over again if you ended up taking one wrong turn and dying, but I at least the ghosts would tell you if you were going the wrong way or not.

Nice game, interesting way of exploring though I kept dying and not leaving a soul behind which affected my ability to route plan. Did experience one bug where I touched a lamp right after I died so the death sound had already ocurred but the red bar filled and I had to sit and wait for it.

Developer

Thanks for playing!  Well spotted I'll have to fix that after the jam.

I liked the setting and the mechanics a lot. I had a hard time actually progressing, even after playing almost 10 min. Only managed to die with a blue soul once, so maybe it's worth to tweaking the difficulty. Nice work!

Thanks for playing!  Yeah it can take up to half an hour for a new player.  You can use the souls strategically, like if you're on the right path you can leave them just before junctions then you'll have full health to explore the next area, or you can leave them just after a junction to see if that was the right way to go.
