  • This is an absolutely adorable little game and a great take on the theme. The struggle to close out work/school before a break is real. Controls were smooth and quite intuitive. I did run through a few different options for what was the "interact" button before I got it. It might be worth including a popup with the controls printed on it right near the beginning. If there already is one, I completely missed it. The music was fun, relaxing but upbeat keeping the game cozy and not snoozy. I thought it was very clever to have one of the office workers be the one controlling the music and to provide multiple styles. It was also an excellent touch to have the music change as the energy went down. The art is cute and fits well with the more relaxed feeling of the game. I did notice that the text in the "nameplate" area and the "dialogue" area both overlapped with the frame of the NPC's face, but bumping that over a bit shouldn't be an issue. This is a fantastic foundation to continue building on, with plenty of room for all kinds of additional content from work activities/events to last minute travel complications. There really is a lot of potential. Great work!

Absolutely adorable game with great art, music, and delivery. I only got two of the endings (workaholic and slacker), but the ending blurb was great fun. I would have loved to see the outcomes of some of the quests, like what happens after the boss reads the letter, or maybe what kind of article the copywriter wrote for the newsletter. I also couldn't find the last quest, maybe it has something to do with the guy in the toilet or the janitor? I didn't get anything from talking to them though. Either way, great work!

That's a nice little jam game. I didn't really understand which bar means what (at the top left of the screen), I think one is mental health and the other is ?? The game also had problems with pixel consistency and scaling, which makes it look pretty bad even though the art is good. That could be easly fixed and it would make a huge difference. Also I wish the tasks had more gameplay in them, instead of just "go to point A then to point B". Other than that I really enjoyed the game. The character art is really good and the dialogues are well written. I've got two endings and I like that there are many routes. Overall the game just needs a bit more polish.

Thanks, musician guy here, I am glad the soundtrack was this well recieved. The team I worked with are veryyy good at what they do and I wanted to find an atmosphere that fit and enhanced their vibe. Glad I could get to achieve that!!

The dialog, music, and the visuals are superb. Made it feel like another day on the job. If only my coworkers had that much pizazz…

Art and music are absolutely fantastic!
Millennials against burnout culture, let's go!

Musician here. Our artist is bada$$. I had a look at the art and it was enough for me to take the vibe and run with it.  Glad you liked 🥹🙏

Yaaay I'm the office rockstar, finally! Video games are all about wish fulfilment! (I originally played through instinctively following my lil' taskpad and got the workaholic ending, which definitely gives me some thoughts to ruminate on).
This game is absolutely dripping with charm, I had such a lovely time playing it. The art is so clean and cute, the writing is so effortlessly endearing, and the music is so playful! I really liked the way the UI was used, inventories and quest logs can be intrusive but they felt totally at home here.
I do totally get the difficulty of knowing how to cut to an ending (based on the conversations I can see in the other comments), I personally didn't mind it, but can see how a lil' character animation or dismissal from MK might have softened the transition. But hey, I have no idea how you got this all done in 2 week, let alone adding any more on top. I felt very seen by this game in a way I didn't expect, aha, exhausted millennial workforce unite!
So much amazing talent and hard work on display by the whole team, you're the rockstars!

You know, words like these keep us going, really! I'm truly happy that you experienced it this way!
The intention, gameplay wise was, to be free in the corpo world and feel the chaos of having no brief for tasks or clear purpose as the time goes on, just like in real life, no compromises xD
Week 1 was mostly brainstorming. I only coded a quest/interactions system and basic UI elements. Since this was our first game together and my first game in godot, our first draft and ideas were super ambitious and we had to scale down. Thankfully it kinda worked!
So most work was crunched in this final week! Including recording and a lil mix for all the songs which you can listen to if you speak to Alejan the Jazzmeister. So, thank you again for your beautiful words and for sharing this experience with us!

Always feels nice to help feed someone else's creative fire 😊
Extremely relatable, the number of cut features from our entry compared to the first draft pitch was devastating but necessary!
Ah I hope it was a fun first project experience for the team, I wouldn't have guessed you hadn't all worked together before - I hope it was a fun crunch rather than a stressful one, the lines can blur sometimes.
I saaaw, as a very unmusical person I was very impressed by the quality and volume of music that was produced!
Congrats again on a great entry, all the best with the rest of the jam 💚

"This game is absolutely dripping with charm"

This one made my day-night.

I really enjoyed the game! The art was absolutely excellent, and the dialogue was super charming (did you use any addon?).  I wanted to explore and do everything, so having the game end so suddenly in the middle of dialogue felt a bit jarring. I wish the ending had a bit more buildup.

I also got a bit lost trying to get the printers to work. I went to my PC and hit print, but nothing seemed to happen. I wasn’t sure if I missed a step or if it was a bug. Also, it took me a little while to realize I had to press Enter to interact with things, which wasn’t immediately obvious.

That said, I still loved the game overall. I’d definitely play it again to try out different paths. Amazing work!

Writing is all done by Yuki and all art by Erinto! I get the thing with the sudden ending, i didn't quite get the feeling that we wanted out of this but i'm glad it's still fun and understandable by players! It indeed needed a buildup!
The printer quest, well, i made a small change to our writer's script and had the printer break down so the player needs to go back and reprint the documents. Cause which printer works on the first try huh? xD (Yuki please don't be mad xD)

Thanks so much for your feedback and for taking the time to play! I'm glad you liked it :)

HAHAH I thought so! I went back and reprinted them thinking I missed something, but then I ran out of time right after.  And yeah, the sudden ending definitely caught me off guard, but the writing and vibe still came through really well! Big props to Yuki and Erinto,  it all came together super nicely despite the time crunch.

I just wanted to do all the things!! As a completionist, getting a sudden ending in the middle of dialog was a little rough!! But that's okay. Just means I'll have to play it again. :)

I loved the art and all the music. I love the dialog. I love the game tbh. Excellent work.

Developer(+1)

The initial thought was for the game to be fast and replayable, so that the player would write down and think which actions to do, to get any ending they want. But i guess i ran out of time to match the exact feeling :p

As a completionist myself, i was sooooo ready to add achievements but it turned to chaos when i tried to make it work for mobile devices, then the deadline came xD I'll keep it in mind though for a bigger V2!

Thanks so much for the feedback and i'm really happy you liked it!
