How does your game fit the theme?
In Self /= Destruct, the theme of "Loop" is inherently connected to the gameplay loop (see what I did there?). Players make use of echoes, which are "loops" of their previous playthrough. These loops are critical towards progressing throughout the game, and are an invaluable tool for the player.

Nice little start. Attack on Q was a strange choice, had my hands crossed over to Q with my right hand.

Developer

thanks a lot for the feedback, I’ll keep that in mind for future versions. Just asking, what do you think would be a better or more natural button?

Submitted

I'm doing WASD with my left hand so anything to the right of it really would be more comfortable or even the space bar. Couple games in the jam used n and m keys which gives a slight seperation between the two hands.

Love the idea here.

Great game! So creative. Doppelchain is mine—feedback appreciated. Awesome job!

Nice work! I think the echo system is very cool, but I found it a little difficult to really make use of it after enemies started fleeing since they would go to corners I had not previously reached. Love your little guys though! Very cute art :)

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! In a future update I was planning on tweaking the behaviour of the enemies anyways to make your echoes more useful.
