How does your game fit the theme?
Our game fits the Loop theme through its gameplay premise, where the player repeatedly "loops" and returns to the same boss fight, the player "loops" through rewards of a Slot machine for upgrades, and narratively is trapped in a loop.

Smart concept and despite me getting a bit spammy it was strange to feel how real-time the turn-based combat became when you entered a flow state.
Really good!

I liked the power scaling in this game and eventually (after a second playthrough) learned how to reliably dodge all attacks from the final boss. As far as I can tell, I don't lose any progress when I die, but I do wonder if there's a challenge in beating it in as few deaths as possible. I do unfortunately crash after pressing the button after winning the game, so there might be extra content I'm missing.

Oh man, super exciting to hear you gave it a second playthrough!

Like you mentioned, there's no progress lost when you die, which made us feel better about making the attacks trickier.

You're right about the crash. In the executable it closes the game out, but it doesn't work well on Web and makes the game appear to crash. But you're not missing any content. Thanks for playing!

Really fun, though I could not understand why I was not dealing damage at the start and it turned out to be I wasn't getting close enough to hit the firewall. It would have been nice to get a FASTER GAMBLING button, to feed into the gambling addiction. Also the name is funny as fuck. Congratulations 10/10

Fair call out on the Fireball, it does a very slight scale down if it misses but its range could be better communicated to the player with more effects.

Glad you liked the name! We only had one boss until Saturday so the "Dormamu I've come to bargain" is all I kept thinking. Especially when you needed to let yourself get splatted to test post-death screens.

Super fun game, I really liked the GAMBLING!!!!! Also fighting eldritch horrors beyond my comprehension was cool too I guess. It was also incredibly satisfying to get to grips with the boss attacks and slowly begin to play the game faster as I anticipated each attack successfully!

Developer

Anticipating the attacks was one of my favorite parts too, feels like a dance or a rhythm game when you really get the moves down. Thanks for trying it out!

Yes yes yes… This did everything right to make me addicted af. The gambling each round to get better effects. The very well made combat. Chef Kiss You did so well.

Actually reminds me of my submisson. Maybe you wanna take a look?

Developer

I'm glad you liked the gambling! I think little mini-game type features like it adds a lot, just like in your submission with the drink/build customization.

I really enjoyed this one!  I'm a big fan of turn-based things that still play quickly, and this game does that very well.  If the progression systems were more fleshed out and it felt more "roguelite"-y, I could see myself really liking a bigger game based on this!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I play all my turn based games on 2-4x speed when I can, so I totally agree. I think it adds to the difficulty too, if you get complacent you can make the wrong move too quickly.
