I managed to get 2 of the 3 secret disks, but I just couldn't figure out the Aerial disk, I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the Anomalies, I tried copying their movement, but I just couldn't figure it out. Overall, it was a fun experience, I found the final boss fight a bit annoying and tedious, but the eye puzzle was fun to try to figure out. I managed to find a bug where if you jump right below the edge of a wall you just transcend up the wall, and I think I cheesed the "break the force grounding you to this world" disk. I've never played Tunic myself, but this is making me intrigued, well done and good luck in the jam!

Thank you so much for your kind words!! I apologize for the final boss fight, I messed it up so bad and turned out to be way more infuriating of an experience than I wished it was. It sounds like you finally ended up getting through it after much suffering, so I appreciate that! XD You are completely correct with the anomalies, so we can consider that you have solved those puzzles. Unfortunately their movements are probably not clear enough, especially given that it is all displayed on a small screen with lackluster visuals. I apologize. I'm glad you enjoyed some parts of it and some of the puzzles, that makes me super happy! Congratulations on the tower one and I'm glad you enjoyed trying to figure it out, and congrats on finding the "secret tech" (XD) which I assume allowed you to get the floating mystery! I will give a try to your entry shortly, I'm excited to try Break the loop!!

I had lots of fun with the game. Figuring out the puzzles was very exciting and the combat is fun. I recommend it to anyone looking for a nice challenge.

As a big fan of Tunic, I loved the idea of the answers being available but required some figuring out. I did get stuck at some points but that's to be expected of a metroidbrania. Good work!

Developer

Thank you so much for trying it out and for your kind words! I am glad to meet a fellow Tunic fan as well, that game is amazing! :) I am excited to try your submission as well!!

Its great to see another metroidbrania game in the jam. The puzzles were pretty creative and the game feels good to play. I do wish it was less linear though and the last room is super hard. While the idea of the tower puzzles was great its not very clear how your supposed to interpret the numbers i got stuck on it cause i thought you had to do the inputs in numerical order(the symbol at 1 first then the symbol at 2 ect). Still a really fun experience though.

Thank you so so much for the kind words!! I'm super glad you had some fun trying out the game and enjoyed some of the metroidbrainia puzzle aspects!! I apologize deeply for the annoyance at dealing with some segments like the final room in particular but i'm glad that you managed to get around it! I apologize for the tower puzzle as well, as it is definitely lacking in polish and clarity. It seems like you ended up solving it though, which is great! I'm very excited to try Softlock, I will do so when I get back home :)

this is pretty difficult but i was able to complete a run w/ 9/14 disks. the primary projectile is actually really satisfying to be able to use but I found myself just dying to it more than the enemies lol, and some of the boss rooms felt like a trial of luck of whether my shots would hit--but the other rooms were fine

Thank you so much for trying the game and for your kind words!! Congratulations on getting 9 disks and i'm glad to know you had some fun using the Worms Armageddon style attack XD! I apologize for the annoyance with some of the boss rooms, I agree, they could have used alot more polish and balancing. I will try your submission shortly! Again thank you for your comment and your time :)

omg thank you thank you thank you! I really appreciate your kind comments and i'm glad you had some enjoyment trying it out!! I'm also super glad some of the puzzles/narrative aspects gave you some rewarding experiences, that is all I could have hoped for!! I think you did amazing, your brain is very large it cannot fit in your skull! :) I apologize for some of the later room's difficulty, I wish I would have done a better job balancing them, but I'm really glad you got through them!! Thank you so much once again, your comments make me so happy!! :)

Love the puzzle design! I found two of the three secret discs, but I wasn't able to find the eye one. The last room with all the enemies proved to be too difficult for me so I wasn't able to get past it. I think if you could tone down the difficulty with the enemies, it would have helped me engage with the puzzles more. I do want to stress, though, that I was really impressed with the puzzles. I was even writing notes on a sheet of paper!

Thank you so so much for the kind words! I apologize for the difficulty and annoyance of dealing with the final levels and the last boss. I quickly implemented those aspects and did not test them much so it ended up being alot too much. I'm super glad you enjoyed some of the puzzle aspects, that makes me super happy!! :) And particularly that you were taking notes hehe!! As for the tower eyes, I'm guessing that if example the first tower had 4 marked on it, you placed the first tower's symbol in the 4th place. The "correct" solution is to place the 4th tower's symbol in the first place. I apologize for that as it was not as intuitive as I thought it was!

Thank you so much for playing and for your comment!! :)
