cool idea i twould be much nicer if you could see the loop of the enemey so you can counter them otherwise GG :!!!

Developer

I'm sorry but can you explain what you mean? Enemies already share the same loop as you and you can place your skills in any position around theirs. I.e. if an enemy has last strike you can place any skill after it to prevent the bonus damage. Part of the game loop is building a flexible enough list of skills that you can play around each enemy to some extent.

If you mean having a preview of what the next enemies are going to be that is something I'd like to add in some way for a future update should I further continue the project.

But anyways thanks for playing.

So fun to play this game! At first, I do not get attention to enemies' attacks but after a run I realise how important it was. Great job!

Developer

That's the idea for successful runs, considering not just the position of your own skills but the enemy's too. For example, making sure the enemy doesn't get off a full powered last strike.

Glad you had fun playing.

at first i lightly scoffed at its simplicity, this game cant beat me, and then i played it for quite some time and loved every second of it. my three mighty blows and shield will never fail until it did lol

Developer(+1)

That's what I was going for, simple to learn but hard to master. Glad you enjoyed the game.

ok i've literally come back to this game two more times today, it's currently 3am where i am and i'm coming at it again, this is probably one of my favourites of the jam so far. (definitely the one I've poured the most time into).

Developer(+1)

Wow, I'm happy to hear you really like the game, just make sure to get some sleep.

Nice concept. I liked how you can get more abilities each battle. Feels like it could get pretty complex

Had trouble picking it up at first but when I figured out what was going on it was a ton of fun. It does a really nice job at making me feel like each run  was unique . Had a really good run with shields and might attack but other builds felt great as well :)

Developer

Glad you figured it out and had a good time creating different builds. Yes whilst the game is fairly simple the lack of a proper tutorial is a known problem.
