Description
An original piece written for the Weekly Note Composing Jam #27 with the theme ‘Dark Forest’. For this, I pictured the dark forest being the backdrop for a spooky level in a 16 bit indie game where the level oozes cheesey eeriness. To fit this vibe, I kept the amount of instruments fairly minimal and used some retro sounding synths that reminded my of the themes from Halloween and Stranger Things.

Good job keeping the minimal pad core on the rails. Pretty nice and pretty disciplined.
Follow our intrepid hero as they open the proverbial can of cheesy peas!
Splendid stuff. Gave you an itch follow, and liked/reposted the track down to my followers on SoundCloud and stuck the thing into a few playlists.
If you like the thing(s) on my page(s), consider doing the same.

Nailed it. I really liked this piece, great example of less being more.
Cheesy, yes, but cheese with intent haha. Sets the dark forest vibe perfectly 👌 I could have been imagining it but I'm sure the glock sounded a little humanised, landing just a hair off-beat at times? If so then I really enjoyed that little touch, and if not then smile and nod and take the compliment 😄
Not much else to say, job well done ✌️
Very good. I would of probably backed off the reverb on the synths, but the melody is great and the atmosphere is definitely foresty.
One of the best
